Michael Crabtree says he lost vision after being hit hard in the face near the goal line on third down in February's Super Bowl.
The San Francisco 49ers wide receiver was targeted on the team's last three plays of Super Bowl XLVII.
Crabtree said he took such a shot from Baltimore Ravens cornerback Jimmy Smith that he temporarily couldn't see.
"When the guy hit me, he hit me all in the face," Crabtree told NFL Network. "I'm not tripping. I'm not one to whine about nothing, but he hit me all in the face and I couldn't really see after he hit me."
Colin Kaepernick almost immediately began his offseason training following the San Francisco 49ers' loss in the Super Bowl.
Jim Harbaugh has spoken to Kaepernick about not allowing himself to get too strong and bulky.
"If you're just talking about weightlifting and upper-body strength, yes, I think there is that fear," Harbaugh said.
"It's something we've talked about. 'I don't want you getting too jacked-up, Colin.' I want some speed, quickness, not just (flexing chest his muscles)."
The San Francisco 49ers are interested in signing defensive end Israel Idonije.
Idonije has been with the Chicago Bears since 2004 and the team is trying to re-sign him.
The Baltimore Ravens' trade of Anquan Boldin to the San Francisco 49ers came together quickly following a phone call between John Harbaugh and Jim Harbaugh.
"Oh, I'm sure he probably was suspicious," John Harbaugh said Tuesday.
"It was a situation where we were really working hard to try to do something to make it work for Anquan to stay (with the Ravens)," John Harbaugh said. "And, I believe Anquan was working hard, too. But when it came down to it, the numbers didn't work work for either side.
"In the end, we decided to make a couple calls. We knew it wasn't going to work out, as far as changing the contract around. So we were going to lose him. We thought we could work it out in the best interest of both parties."
Phil Dawson has agreed to sign with the San Francisco 49ers.
Dawson, longtime placekicker for the Cleveland Browns, will replace David Akers.
The 49ers were also considering Lawrence Tynes.
Safety Louis Delmas has agreed to a two-year deal to re-sign with the Detroit Lions.
Delmas visited with the San Francisco 49ers on Thursday.
The Indianapolis Colts have agreed to a four-year, $22 million deal with Ricky Jean-Francois.
Jean-Francois played in just 27 percent of the snaps on defense last season with the 49ers.
Nnamdi Asomugha is visiting with the San Francisco 49ers and is expected to sign a deal.
The 49ers are looking to improve the cornerback position this offseason.
Asomugha was a three-time Pro Bowler while with the Oakland Raiders.
Asomugha also played collegiately in the Bay Area at Cal.
The San Francisco 49ers have signed Glenn Dorsey to a two-year contract.
The 49ers have been thin on the defensive line behind Justin Smith.
Dorsey was the fifth overall pick by the Chiefs in 2008, but has failed to meet expectations.
