Ted Sundquist will interview for the same position with the San Francisco 49ers later this week, according to two NFL sources.
Sundquist spent 16 seasons working in the Broncos' scouting and front office departments. He was the Broncos' scouting director from 1996-2001, a span in which the team won its two Super Bowls.
The 49ers have missed the playoffs in eight consecutive seasons.

49ers president Jed York intends to contact Dolphins consultant Bill Parcells this week for his opinion on San Francisco vice president of player personnel Trent Baalke, according to a league source.
Parcells first hired Baalke when he was with the Jets.
According to the source, York also intends to ask Parcells for his thoughts on the 49ers' future as they seek to hire a general manager and coach, and the direction the team should take.
49ers Confirm Meeting With Softli
49ers president Jed York began his search for a general manager by interviewing Tony Softli.
The team will be talking to candidates the rest of the week.
York confirmed to Comcast SportsNet Bay Area that he met Tuesday with Softli, a former personnel executive with the Panthers and Rams, and said he was "going to have in-person or phone interviews through Sunday" with other candidates.

The 49ers' eighth consecutive season without a playoff appearance has cost Mike Singletary his job as the team's head coach, as reported by ESPN.com.
The 49ers announced the firing Sunday night after the team returned to its headquarters following a 25-17 defeat to the Rams earlier in the day.
Defensive line coach Jim Tomsula will coach the team's game against Arizona in Week 17.
Singletary, 52, went 5-10 this season and 8-8 in 2009, his first as head coach in full. He posted a 5-4 record as interim coach after the team fired Mike Nolan during the 2008 season.

49ers Remain Quiet On Singletary's Fate
Team president Jed York addressed reporters in St. Louis after the Niners' 25-17 loss Sunday and was noncommittal about whether Mike Singletary will coach the season finale at home next Sunday against Arizona, according to an ESPN.com report.
He said money isn't an object in this decision considering Singletary has two years remaining on his contract.
