Lattimore Signs Four-Year Deal With 49ers

Sep 2, 2014 7:28 AM

Marcus Lattimore has signed a four-year contract with the San Francisco 49ers.

Lattimore was considered a steal for the 49ers in the fourth round, but he is still recovering from three torn ligaments and a dislocated right knee.

"I just want to train as hard as I can," Lattimore said. "But I understand why they want me to slow down."

Lattimore said that being around Frank Gore is inspiring as he overcame major knee surgeries in college.

"It was great to finally meet him in person," Lattimore said. "He's been wonderful to me."

Vernon Davis Improving Bond With Kaepernick

Nov 28, 2014 1:03 AM

With Michael Crabtree out for a significant amount of the 2013 season with an Achilles tear, the San Francisco 49ers are hoping Colin Kaepernick and Vernon Davis improve their chemistry.

Davis caught six passes in Kaepernick's debut as starter against the Chicago Bears, but only had seven receptions over the next seven games.

Davis had five receptions for 106 yards and one touchdown in the NFC Championship Game and six receptions for 104 yards in the Super Bowl.

"We bond really well. We play, we joke away from the field," Davis said. "That's very important, especially when it comes to having a relationship with your quarterback. You want to be able to joke with this guy.

"It's about what you do away from here. Colin and I are going to work on the field but how's your relationship away from the field. It's always been good. Just like me and Alex (Smith)."

Randy Moss Willing To Listen If 49ers Interested

Nov 22, 2014 6:17 AM

With Michael Crabtree out for at least a sizable portion of the 2013 season due to a torn Achilles, the San Francisco 49ers could reunite with Randy Moss.

The 49ers had ruled out signing Moss earlier in the offseason.

A source close to Moss indicates he is enjoying spending time with family, but there is little doubt that he would be willing to entertain an offer from the 49ers.
