Jimmy Graham insists he's not frustrated with his lack of targets in the Seattle Seahawks' offense.
"I've been reading the same thing," he said, via the Seattle Times. "It's a surprise to me. I'm not really sure where that came from."
The chemistry between Graham and Russell Wilson remains a work in progress.
"I'm doing what's asked of me," he said. "I know my opportunities are going to come. I know my moments are going to come. I know I'll be ready when they do come my way. Even leading up to that question, we've talked about it. This team runs the ball, simple as that. We're not slinging the ball 60 times a game. If we are, it means that we're in trouble. I'm just going to keep doing what's asked of me."
Jimmy Graham is not happy with his lack of targets over his first two weeks with the Seattle Seahawks, according to Mike Freeman of Bleacher Report.
Graham has been targeted on just 13 percent of his routes compared to 32 percent last season with the New Orleans Saints.
Graham has just 62 receiving yards.
Kam Chancellor will end his contract holdout to return to the Seattle Seahawks.
Chancellor missed all of training camp and the first two games of the season in hopes of restructuring his contract.
"Ima go help my teammates that are understanding of my position and the ones who aren't," Chancellor said in the text message. "God forgives all, why can't i? Time to help us get back to the big dance. I can address business after the season. Me and Marshawn started a mission 2 years ago. I can't let my Dawg down....Real talk."
Chancellor forfeited two game checks of $267,647. It is unclear whether the organization will waive Chancellor's fines for skipping training camp.
Michael Bennett acknowledges the Seattle Seahawks miss the presence of Kam Chancellor.
"We miss Kam Chancellor, not just the way that he plays, but the way that he approaches the game, his leadership," Bennett said Thursday, via ESPN.com. "Even though Kam Chancellor wasn't in the game, we had multiple chances of winning that game. I wonder, would the conversation be the same if we won the game? Would people be saying, 'Hey, they don't need Kam Chancellor'? And so it's all about the wins and losses in this league."
Chancellor remains a holdout as he seeks a new deal.
Darrell Bevell was asked this week for his response to a post from Marshawn Lynch's mother calling for him to be fired as offensive coordinator of the Seattle Seahawks.
"I'm glad we have passionate fans," Bevell said.
"It comes with the territory. I played quarterback, and that guy's going to get more credit than he deserves, and people are going to be on him when you don't win. So same with what I'm doing. I'm totally confident in what I'm doing. I'm totally confident that I'm trying to get our team in the best position to win. And I'm glad that she's passionate about it."
Marshawn Lynch's mother, Delisa Lynch, believes the Seattle Seahawks should have fired offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell.
Delisa called Bevell "the worst play caller ever."
She also wrote that Bevell “should have been fired” and that the “Seahawks staff loves that play caller more than a win.”
