Nov 27, 2015 11:38 AM

Marshawn Lynch will need surgery to repair a sports hernia and will be out a month.

The timeline makes it possible for Lynch to return this season, especially if the Seattle Seahawks make the playoffs.

Lynch met with noted specialist Dr. William Meyers in Philadelphia on Monday to confirm the nature of his abdominal injury after sitting out Sunday's win over the 49ers.

Thomas Rawls has been excellent for the Seahawks in replace of Lynch.

Seahawks Rank 5th In Elo But Have 53 Percent Shot At Playoffs

Nov 3, 2015 10:40 AM

The Seattle Seahawks rank fifth in FiveThirtyEight's Elo rating, but have just a 53 percent chance of reaching the playoffs.

The Arizona Cardinals currently lead the NFC West and have a 69 percent chance of reaching the playoffs and rank seventh in Elo.

The Atlanta Falcons have a better chance of reaching the playoffs at 63 percent despite ranking 12th in Elo due to their softer schedule, while the Minnesota Vikings have a 54 percent chance of making the playoffs. The NFC Wild Card is likely to come down to the Seahawks, Falcons and Vikings.

In the AFC, the Pittsburgh Steelers (49 percent), New York Jets (46 percent), Kansas City Chiefs (28 percent) and Oakland Raiders (24 percent) have the best Wild Card odds.

The New England Patriots, Denver Broncos, Cincinnati Bengals, Green Bay Packers and Carolina Panthers each have a 95 percent or better chance of reaching the playoffs.

Dez Bryant Denies Making Derogatory Remarks About Ricardo Lockette

Nov 1, 2015 11:41 PM

Dez Bryant went on a tirade towards the media in response to a Vine that allegedly showed him making derogatory remarks about Ricardo Lockette.

The Vine was created by Marcus Sullivan, who has a verified Twitter account. Sullivan, a Fox26 digital reporter, posted, " #DezBryant after the #Seahawks #RicardoLockette was knocked out of the game "That's what the F He gets" smh!"

"I won't ever, ever, ever, ever wish bad on a player that's been knocked down. C'mon, man. Stop with the bulls---," said Bryant, dressed in football pants and shower shoes. "Not once did I say that's what you get. I got on one knee and prayed for that man.

"I got on one knee and prayed for him. C'mon, man. Don't put clips together and do that."

Bryant was asked if the Seahawks accused him of saying that about Lockette.

"It didn't have nothing to do with [Lockette]," Bryant responded when asked what was said on the video. "I swear on my daughter's soul I would never in my life do that to anybody. I could've been talking about something completely ...

"I'm too busy trying to break it up, trying to get our players back. I'm telling Richard [Sherman] and Earl [Thomas] y'all get your players back. I'm talking to the officials more than anybody."

Bryant threatened to stop speaking to the media this season.
