Jalen Ramsey underwent a "precautionary and minor" shoulder surgery on Tuesday, according to a source.

The Los Angeles Rams cornerback tweeted a photo of himself with his left arm in a sling.

While on a podcast in March, Ramsey said he played "half the year, probably 10 games, with two AC joints sprained."

He's expected to be fine for the start of the 2022 season.

Rams COO: Current Model Isn't Sustainable Forever

Jun 10, 2022 8:49 AM

After winning Super Bowl LVI, the Los Angeles Rams have continued to go all-in by signing Allen Robinson and giving new deals to Aaron Donald, Matthew Stafford and Cooper Kupp.

COO Kevin Demoff acknowledged that the team's current model for roster-building isn't sustainable long-term.

"I don't know that this model in particular is sustainable forever," Demoff said. "To me, it's not about, 'Oh, this is the model we will always have.' I think our model has been [being] aggressive in trying to build the best team that we can build. That is sustainable."

Aaron Donald's New Contract Opens Door For Him To Leave In 2024

Jun 7, 2022 8:08 AM

Aaron Donald's new contract essentially guarantees he'll remain with the Los Angeles Rams for the next two seasons, but things could change after that.

The structure of the contract ties Donald to the Rams through 2023 with a total payout of $65 million. At that point, he could retire without any financial consequences.

If he retires following the 2023 season, the next move could be to try to return with a new team.

At that point, Donald could try to leverage a deal closer to his hometown Pittsburgh Steelers.

Aaron Donald Becomes Highest Paid Non-QB With Restructured Deal

Jun 6, 2022 8:35 PM

All-Pro defensive tackle Aaron Donald is returning to the Los Angeles Rams with a big raise that will make him the highest-paid non-quarterback in the NFL.

The Rams reworked Donald's deal to give him a $40 million raise over the last three years of his existing contract, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter, making him the first non-quarterback to eclipse $30 million per season. The reworked deal brings the total value of Donald's contract to $95 million over three years.

"It's a big deal," Rams coach Sean McVay said Monday in a SiriusXM town hall interview. "And he's earned it. And he truly is one of one in my opinion. Means so much to me, to our organization. I think the respect that he's garnered around this league from guys that have done it at such a high level. What he's accomplished through his eight years is unparalleled.

"So [we] wanted to be able to find a solution to getting him taken care of, having him continue to lead the way for our team, for our defense. We had a feeling it was trending in the right direction when he was at my wedding on Saturday night."

Cooper Kupp Wants New Contract To Make Sense For Both Sides

Jun 6, 2022 8:16 AM

Cooper Kupp, who is in the final year of his contract, wants his new deal to make sense for both him and the Los Angeles Rams.

Sean McVay said in April that the team had "good dialogue" with Kupp about a new deal.

"I try to help where I can," Kupp said. "I don't want to be in the dark on this thing. I also love this organization. I want to be here for a very long time, and to be doing things with these guys — not just the guys on the field, I want to be a part of this organization [in its] growth and the places I think this organization is going. And so I want this to be something that makes sense for everyone. I want them to feel good about it, and I think the best way to do that is for me to at least be involved in some capacity. It’s never going to be at the cost of anything on the football field, [but] the more communication, the better, and just be able to find a place we can all feel good."
