The Los Angeles Rams won't attend the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis next week despite actually having a first-round pick.

Sean McVay's Rams haven't attended the combine post-2020. However, in recent years the team has rarely had a first-round selection. L.A. hasn't had a first since they selected Jared Goff with the first overall pick in 2016.

The Rams have not put much emphasis on certain drills routinely run at the combine like the 40-yard dash. 

The Los Angeles Rams have promoted Chris Shula to defensive coordinator to replace Raheem Morris.

The Miami Dolphins also had interest in hiring Shula for the same position. 

Shula has been with Rams head coach Sean McVay in Los Angeles since February 2017, when he was hired as a defensive assistant.
