The Rams have announced that veteran defensive back Al Harris has decided to retire.
Harris had 12 tackles in nine games for the Rams this season. For his career, the 14-year veteran played in 194 games and picked off 21 passes.
He was placed on injured reserve for the third straight season and will now look to transition into a coaching career.
"That's just God's way of telling me it's time for me to turn the page," Harris said of the injury. "I had an awesome time. I thank God for Spags giving me the opportunity to come out and I hope I left a positive impression on everybody."

Report: Kroenke 'Torn' On Rams Future, Devaney Could Go
The expectation is that Rams coach Steve Spagnuolo will be let go at the end of the season, but the team's front office may see changes.
FOX Sports reports that Spagnuolo could actually stay if general manager Billy Devaney is fired.
St. Louis owner Stan Kroenke is "torn" about what to do. It's possible that both the coach and Devaney could be let go.
Spagnuolo is entering the final year of his contract.
Steven Jackson 34 Yards From Milestone
Rams running back Steven Jackson is on the verge of a milestone.
With just 34 more yards rushing he will become the seventh player in NFL history to gain 1,000 yards in seven or more consecutive seasons.
Only Emmitt Smith, Barry Sanders, Curtis Martin, Thurman Thomas, Eric Dickerson and LaDainian Tomlinson have done it.
Rams, Buccaneers Won't Make Coaching Change This Week
The Rams and Buccaneers don't plan to make any coaching changes this week, according to sources.
St. Louis (2-12) and Tampa Bay (4-10) have struggled despite entering the season with labels as up-and-coming teams with young starting quarterbacks.
If any coaching changes are made, at this point, they would be made at the end of the season.
Rams Could Shut Bradford Down For 2011
The Rams are considering whether to shut down quarterback Sam Bradford for the final two games, according to sources.
He did not start on Sunday against the Bengals, missing his fourth game this season. He is dealing with a high-ankle sprain.
Bradford, who also missed Weeks 6, 7 and 13, was again in a walking boot last week.
He said the injury has compromised his mechanics and put more stress on his arm.
Bradford To Miss Fourth Game
Rams quarterback Sam Bradford will be sidelined for the fourth time this season because of a nagging ankle sprain.
Kellen Clemens will start for St. Louis against Cincinnati, according to a league source.
Clemens was signed off waivers from the Texans two weeks ago as A.J. Feeley remained sidelined with a fractured right thumb.
"I feel prepared," Clemens said last week. "It's a short week, which doesn't help, but I'm going to get three practices this week instead of two so I think by Sunday afternoon I should be ready to go."
Steven Jackson Criticizes Shuffling Of Offensive Line
Rams running back Steven Jackson said after the team's loss to the Seahawks on Monday night that the offense has been hurt by shuffling of the offensive line.
"It's hard to win in this league when you're constantly shuffling the offensive line. You don't have any chemistry there," Jackson said.
"When you're shuffling a lineup, trying to get guys to do things and when you have to go back to Week 1 stuff, coaching that up, it stalls you from trying to move forward."
During the second and third quarters, St. Louis had just 43 total yards until a 50-yard screen pass from Sam Bradford to Jackson when the Rams caught Seattle on a blitz.
Jackson disappeared in the second half -- aside from his 50-yard catch-and-run -- finishing with 63 yards rushing on 20 carries.
Bradford, Clemens Split Reps At Practice
Rams quarterback Sam Bradford, hampered by a high left ankle sprain, did not practice at all this week and missed last week's game at San Francisco.
However, Bradford was on the practice field on Saturday, when he split reps with Kellen Clemens.
St. Louis coach Steve Spagnuolo said he's not ready to name him the starter.
"The test here, you know, when I talk with (trainer) Reggie (Scott) is see how it feels tomorrow," Spagnuolo said. "Now, we are treading lightly and going safe. I will tell you this, if you could have seen the look on his eye when I told him he wasn't going to play last week, you know, that's hard to do.
"You know him. We'll see and be smart about it."
Rams Sign Kellen Clemens
The Rams have signed Kellen Clemens and added the quarterback to their active roster.
Sam Bradford (ankle) and A.J. Feeley (thumb) are dealing with injuries.
The Redskins signed Clemens in July and released him Sept 3. He was signed by the Texans on Nov. 23, after Matt Schaub was placed on injured reserve but was waived Tuesday to make room for Jeff Garcia.
Bradford Iffy Against San Francisco
The Rams have activated quarterback Tom Brandstater from the practice squad, reflecting concern about Sam Bradford's availability against San Francisco.
Bradford aggravated a high left-ankle sprain in a loss to Seattle last week, the same injury that sidelined him for two games earlier in the season.
