Buccaneers Hire Liam Coen As New Offensive Coordinator

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have agreed to terms with Liam Coen as their new offensive coordinator, sources confirmed to ESPN on Saturday.

The Bucs completed interviews with their candidates early Friday morning, and Coen publicly emerged as the favorite. But sources said then that details were still being worked out with the University of Kentucky as Coen was still under contract as the Wildcats' offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach.

Ravens, Michael Pierce Agree To Two-Year, $7.5M Deal

The Ravens have agreed to a two-year, $7.5 million extension with Michael Pierce, a source told ESPN's Field Yates on Saturday, which keeps the starting nose tackle from becoming an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season.

Pierce, 31, has started all 16 games for a Ravens defense that has allowed the fewest points (16.4) and the fourth-fewest yards (302.1) in the NFL this season.

49ers, Sebastian Joseph-Day Agree To One-Year Deal

 In need of additional depth on the interior of the defensive line, the San Francisco 49ers landed defensive tackle Sebastian Joseph-Day on Tuesday.

According to a team source, Joseph-Day and the Niners agreed to terms on a one-year deal, with it expected to become official before San Francisco resumes practice Wednesday. The Los Angeles Chargers released Joseph-Day on Friday, a move that was somewhat surprising because he was a team captain who had started all 14 games with the team.

The extension is worth $36 million and includes $20.7 million in guaranteed money. Jackson was a first-round pick in 2020.

Dolphins To Sign Jason Pierre-Paul

Veteran defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul is expected to sign with the Miami Dolphins, a source told ESPN, in the wake of a season-ending Achilles injury to linebacker Jaelan Phillips.

The South Florida native Pierre-Paul, who signed with the New Orleans Saints on Nov. 15 and is on the team's practice squad, said in a post to his Instagram account Monday night that he's "coming home."

It is expected that Flacco will get promoted to the active roster, sources told Schefter and Yates.

The Browns worked out Flacco on Friday.

The Chicago Bears and Montez Sweat have agreed to a long-term extension before the edge rusher's debut against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday.

Sweat, 27, is signing a four-year extension worth $98 million, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter. Sweat's new deal includes $72 million in guarantees (roughly $62 million guaranteed at signing), is front-loaded and he will earn about $56 million by the end of 2025, a source told ESPN's Dan Graziano

The Colts' most dangerous offensive player is back and getting paid.

Jonathan Taylor and the Colts have reached agreement on a three-year, $42 million contract extension that includes $26.5 million guaranteed and makes him one of the NFL's highest-paid running backs, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Saturday.

Taylor also was removed from the physically unable to perform list Saturday and has no injury designation, clearing him to make his season debut Sunday against the Tennessee Titans.
