Report: Rams Could Be Up For Sale Soon
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch has reported that the Rams could soon be up for sale.
Majority owners Chip Rosenbloom and Lucia Rodriguez inherited control of the team last year from their late mother.
Rosenbloom and Rodriguez have hired Goldman Sachs to put the team up for sale.
Rams Cut Leading Tackler Tinoisamoa
The Rams have released linebacker Pisa Tinoisamoa, their leading tackler from the 2008 season.
"This was a difficult decision based on a lot of factors," Rams coach Steve Spagnuolo said Friday. "I have a great deal of respect for Pisa and wish him all of the best."
Tinoisamoa was drafted by St. Louis in the second round of the 2002 NFL Draft.
Bengals Acquire Leonard From Rams For Harris
The Bengals have acquired Rams fullback Brian Leonard for defensive tackle Orien Harris.
Leonard was a second-round pick of St. Louis in 2007, and is expected to be an option in the passing game for Cincinnati as a reserve.
Harris was a fourth-round choice of the Steelers in 2006.
Rams Sign Veteran WR Tim Carter
The Rams have signed veteran receiver Tim Carter to a one-year contract.
Carter, a veteran of six NFL seasons, was cut last August by Houston and sat out the rest of the season.
Bulger Optimistic About Rams' Offense
Rams quarterback Marc Bulger knows that it's only May, but is expressing optimism about the team's retooled offense.
"The culture around here has changed and it's great," Bulger said Sunday after a three-day minicamp. "We can talk all we want in the spring and during camp and during preseason about how good we're going to be and how the changes are great.
"But until we start winning games, we have no room to talk."
St. Louis made several upgrades on offense, signing free agent center Jason Brown and drafting tackle Jason Smith with the second pick.
