The Colts have signed former Texans backup quarterback Dan Orlovsky.
Houston released Orlovsky when they agreed to terms with Matt Leinart to serve as the No. 2 quarterback behind Matt Schaub.
"I'm just waiting to get my travel information from Indy," Orlovsky said. "Once I get that I'll head to the airport.
"I'm excited about it, for sure. I'm excited about the challenge of going up there and learning about a pretty complex and new offense and having the opportunity to go learn and compete and be a part of a good football team and a good organization."

The Colts and quarterback Peyton Manning have agreed to a five-year, $90 million contract, according to sources.

Manning To Colts: I Don't Need To Be Highest-Paid Player
Colts quarterback Peyton Manning said Friday that he isn't driven by the desire to be the highest-paid player in the NFL.
Manning doesn't want to handicap Indianapolis from making other roster moves.
"While I appreciate Jim Irsay offering to make me the highest-paid player," Manning told The Indianapolis Star.
"I told him I'd rather he save that money and keep whoever it is ... Joe Addai, Charlie Johnson, whoever that may be.
"I'm willing to take less than they've offered if they are going to take that money to keep players we need to keep and go get other players. All I want is for them to have the cap and the cash to keep the players they want to keep and to sign other players."
Manning added that he wants the contract done as soon as possible.
Vinatieri To Spend Three More Years With Colts
Adam Vinatieri, 38, has agreed to terms on a three-year deal with the Colts, according to a league source.

Irsay: Manning's Deal May Be Limited By New Rules
Colts owner Jim Irsay said Monday he still intends to make Peyton Manning the NFL's highest-paid player and he hopes to get something done in the next couple days.
However, he believes a salary cap of roughly $120 million in the first year of the new labor agreement, smaller than the last cap in 2009, will complicate things.
"To me this isn't about how much money I have to spend, because the money is going to be spent," Irsay said. "We're already up against the cap, we already have to do something to make adjustments."
Irsay Not Worried About Peyton's Health
Jim Irsay isn't worried about Peyton Manning's health yet, according to an ESPN.com report.
He's just not entirely sure when Manning will start throwing to his teammates. The Colts' owner told reporters Thursday in Atlanta he doesn't expect offseason neck surgery to prevent Indianapolis' franchise player from playing at his usually high level.
"My sense is that he's doing well," Irsay said at the league's owner meetings. "We've been through (his neck) surgery before. So I anticipate him being ready."
Peyton Won't Be Ready For Training Camp
The Colts won't have Peyton Manning when training camp starts as he continues to recover from offseason neck surgery.
The quarterback won't be ready to participate with the rest of his teammates July 31, when the team is scheduled to begin camp assuming a labor settlement is reached, according to a report by The Indianapolis Star.
Manning is rehabbing from his second neck-related surgery in 15 months. The two procedures were not related.
Manning, Brees Not Seeking Special Treatment
Peyton Manning and Drew Brees are not seeking separate settlements in the Brady vs. NFL antitrust lawsuit that's part of the on-going labor negotiations between owners and players, said the agent for both players.
"Asserting anything else is nonsense," agent Tom Condon said. "Drew and Peyton have been two of the staunchest supporters of the players throughout this process.
"What they are doing is endorsing the players' (bargaining position), not pursing anything individually."
