The Chicago Bears have traded up in the first round to take Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields.

To acquire the 11th pick, the Bears dealt the 20th overall pick, a fifth-rounder, and a first- and fourth-round selection in 2021 to the New York Giants.

The Chicago Bears have discussed trades involving wide receiver Anthony Miller.

A number of teams have been involved in talks, according to the report.

Miller, a former second-round pick, is entering the final year of his rookie contract.

Matt Nagy says he will handle offensive playcalling duties for the Chicago Bears after temporarily ceding the responsibility to offensive coordinator Bill Lazor for a time last season.

"I'm going to be the one calling the plays this year, and so I know that you'll probably be asking that, so we can just let you know that from the front end," Nagy said.

Chicago struggled to find any rhythm on offense until a late-season three-game winning streak lifted them to a wild-card playoff berth. The Bears finished the 2020 season ranked near the bottom in most offensive statistical categories.

Tuesday's vote to approve a 17-game season wasn't unanimous among owners.

Chicago Bears chairman George H. McCaskey voted against the measure, according to four sources who were on the videoconference.

The Bears have declined to comment.
