May 30, 2023 8:50 AM

The Arizona Cardinals released DeAndre Hopkins on Friday, months after the wide receiver first surfaced as a trade candidate.

According to a report, the Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs were the only teams that engaged in "substantive talks" with the Cardinals about a trade.

Both clubs balked due to financial reasons.

Josh Allen 'Badly' Wants Super Bowl Title For Buffalo

May 24, 2023 9:57 AM

Josh Allen said last month that he has never been "as focused or locked in on football than I am right now."

Buffalo Bills coach Sean McDermott added to that this week, saying "I've seen a different Josh this offseason -- not that it was bad before -- but he's got a new sense of focus, I would say, and determination, which is good."

Allen is focused on finally delivering on the Bills' promise with a Super Bowl victory.

"I so badly want to bring a Super Bowl here to Buffalo," Allen said, "and I just don't want anything to get in the way of allowing me to be the best quarterback that I can be for this team."

Bills Sign DE Shane Ray, Out Of NFL Since 2019

May 15, 2023 9:27 AM

Out of the NFL since 2019, Shane Ray has signed with the Buffalo Bills.

The defensive end was picked 23rd overall by the Denver Broncos in the 2015 draft out of Missouri and played four seasons for the Broncos.

He was on the Broncos team that won Super Bowl 50, forcing a fumble in the game. Beginning in 2017, Ray dealt with a left wrist injury and subsequent surgeries.

"Words can't describe the emotions I'm feeling right now. So many tears, sleepless nights, depression, everything that comes with losing the game. So many days of having nothing but hope while fighting a uphill battle," Ray wrote Saturday on his Instagram account.

Zach Ertz Claims He Was Nearly Traded To Bills In 2021

May 8, 2023 9:03 AM

Zach Ertz says he was nearly traded to the Buffalo Bills during the 2021 season.

The Bills suffered an epic loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in the divisional round of the playoffs that year.

"I was getting traded out of Philadelphia," Ertz said. "There were a couple teams extremely interested, Buffalo being one of them. It was almost a done deal, but it just didn't get over the finish line."

The Eagles ultimately dealt the tight end to the Arizona Cardinals for a fifth-round pick and cornerback Tay Gowan.

Damar Hamlin, Tee Higgins Spending Offseason Time Together

May 5, 2023 9:24 AM

Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin and Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins have spent time together this offseason.

Hamlin collapsed and went into cardiac arrest after tackling Higgins this past season in one of the most frightening sights ever seen on an NFL field.

Tyler Boyd recently posted a picture on Instagram showing himself along with Hamlin and Higgins, plus Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase, relaxing with some off-road vehicles.

Higgins has said he "wasn't in a good place" mentally after seeing Hamlin collapse on the field.

Buffalo Bills Get Approval For 30-Year Lease For New Stadium

May 5, 2023 9:04 AM

The final step to moving forward with construction on the Buffalo Bills' new stadium was taken Thursday when the 11-member Erie County Legislature unanimously approved the deal for a 30-year lease.

The new stadium is scheduled to open in 2026 with major construction slated to begin in June.

"We want to thank Governor [Kathy] Hochul, the County Executive and all of our public partners for bringing this process to a successful conclusion," Bills executive vice president & COO Ron Raccuia said in a statement.

"All of the legal agreements and public-private partnerships with the county and the state are signed. There are no more documents. All the focus is now on construction and the opening of the stadium, which will start immediately."

The vote came exactly one month after the Bills, New York state and Erie County signed all the documents for the project.

Bills Sign Latavius Murray To One-Year Deal

May 2, 2023 8:13 AM

The Buffalo Bills have signed Latavius Murray to a one-year deal.

The Bills didn't draft a running back, but did sign former Fresno State running back Jordan Mims to a deal as an undrafted free agent.

"I just think that the fit was right, to be able to come in and again, provide a different element in the run game and then also try to help the guys around me in that room, just based off my experience," Murray said.

"So, I look forward to learning from them. They're younger, keep me young and I also look forward to sharing knowledge and sharing my experiences to make them better, which essentially helps the team."
