Tua Tagovailoa Downplays Snow In Buffalo

Dec 15, 2022 8:29 AM

The Miami Dolphins are preparing to play the Buffalo Bills on Saturday.

The game will be cold and could be snowy, which Tua Tagovailoa says doesn't bother him.

"Could be snowing, could rain, I don't know," Tagovailoa said. "It's a mindset thing, really, and if I'm too focused and worried about, Is it too cold? Can I grab the ball or not? Then I'm focused on the wrong things and it'll be hard to play that way."

After getting several questions about the Buffalo weather, Tagovailoa began to take issue with the idea that he can't handle snow.

“It snowed in Alabama my first year. So it snows in Alabama, guys. People don’t know that,” Tagovailoa said.

Von Miller Out For Season With Surgery On ACL

Dec 7, 2022 2:29 PM

Von Miller is out for the season after having surgery for an ACL injury.

Miller underwent exploratory surgery in Texas on Tuesday, and an ACL injury was found in his right knee.

"Unfortunate situation, for Von, obviously, and our team. Care for him, obviously, like we would any player," Sean McDermott said. "We know how much this means to him in terms of playing and being with the team, so we look forward to getting him back, obviously off the field for the rest of the season and his leadership, and we're certainly thinking about him as he recovers here."

Mac Jones On Sideline Outburst: 'We Needed A Spark'

Dec 2, 2022 8:39 AM

Mac Jones' frustration boiled over on the sideline during the New England Patriots' 24-10 loss to the Buffalo Bills on Thursday night, but the quarterback said it wasn't directed at anyone specifically.

The broadcast showed Jones at one point as he appeared to be saying, "Throw the f---ing ball! The quick game sucks!"

The Patriots played from behind for the final three quarters.

"Obviously, I just kind of let my emotions get to me," he said. "What I said was about throwing it deeper within the short game. I got to execute that part better. But it's the short game that we kept going to, which is working. But I felt like we needed chunk plays. I shouted that out to kind of get everyone going. That's emotional. That's football. I'm passionate about this game.

"Obviously, you don't want to let your emotions get the best of you. I think that's pretty much it. It wasn't directed at anybody. Just emotion coming out. We kind of needed a spark."

Jones said he believed he was on the same page as the coaching staff, specifically with Matt Patricia, who calls in the plays to him.

"It was just [saying], 'Let's go for it, let's be aggressive, let's take those shots. Just go down fighting,'" Jones said. "Matty P was on the same page. We kind of did it there at the end and moved it a little bit more."
