The Buffalo Bills will match the offer sheet guard Ryan Bates signed with the Chicago Bears last week, per Brandon Beane.

The Bills had until Tuesday to match the offer sheet Bates signed with the Bears.

"We've kind of pondered that and worked through it. And obviously we're tight on the cap, but we are going to bring Ryan back," Beane said.

The deal is for four years, per a source, and the first two years are fully guaranteed.

The Buffalo Bills don't believe Stefon Diggs' contract will become an issue.

The receiver's current five-year, $72 million deal runs through the 2023 season. Since the deal was reached the market for receivers has been reset, now making Diggs look underpaid.

"We've got Stefon for two years so we know that. At the right time we'll work with his reps and see if there's something to be done that works for him," Brandon Beane said.

"He's a winner. He's all in on winning and, sure, everybody wants to be paid but he wants to be on a winning team. I think he’s been the best version of himself. So I don't see that being an issue."

The Buffalo Bills have made two moves to boost their already potent offense.

They have agreed to a one-year deals with Duke Johnson and Jamison Crowder, according to sources.

The Buffalo Bills have agreed to sign Von Miller to a six-year, $120 million deal. The contract includes $51.5 million in guaranteed money including $45 million fully guaranteed at signing.

Miller's 41 pressures last season would've been the most on the Bills; Jerry Hughes had a team-high 37 pressures for a defense that generated pressure at the second-highest rate last season (34% of dropbacks).

Miller turns 33 on March 26th.

The Buffalo Bills have released Cole Beasley.

Beasley was previously given permission to seek a trade from the Bills but one never materialized.

The move saves the Bills about $6.1 million in cap space this year. 

Teams have submitted two separate proposals to adjust overtime, following months of discussion about the advantage of winning the opening possession.

The proposals have not yet been endorsed by the competition committee, but by rule they can be put to a vote later this month during the annual league meetings.

The Indianapolis Colts and Philadelphia Eagles have proposed that both teams be allowed at least one possession in overtime.

The Tennessee Titans' proposal calls for both teams to get at least one possession unless the team that opens overtime with the ball scores a touchdown and then converts a two-point attempt.

Brandon Beane says the Buffalo Bills haven't yet had talks with Stefon Diggs regarding a contract extension.

Diggs' $14.4 million per year average salary puts him 20th among NFL receivers. He has recorded more than 1,200 yards in each of his two seasons with the Bills.

"We'll look at everything," Beane said. "Definitely guys that have higher cap numbers like that you look at everything, whether it's restructuring it, adding years. We'll look at everything. You can definitely know we will look at Stef's contract at some point and see if there is something that makes sense for both sides. But we haven't begun any conversations with him at this point."

The Buffalo Bills have granted Cole Beasley permission to seek a trade this offseason.

Beasley's camp approached the Bills this offseason. Beasley is currently set to account for $7.6 million in cap space on the final year of a four-year, $29 million contract.

The Bills would save $6.1 million in cap space with $1.5 million remaining in dead cap if they trade or release Beasley. 

Beasley finished 2021 with the same number of receptions as the year prior (82) but 274 fewer receiving yards. 

The Buffalo Bills are open to signing Rob Gronkowski in free agency if the tight end decides to continue playing, according to a report.

Gronkowski is from upstate New York and grew up a Bills fan.

The 32-year-old is expected to take some time before deciding on his future.
