Von Miler Expected To Resume Practicing

Sep 30, 2023 5:26 PM

Buffalo Bills star pass-rusher Von Miller, who has not played since tearing his right ACL on Thanksgiving Day last season, is expected to resume practicing this week, sources told ESPN.

Miller is on the physically unable to perform list and will miss his fourth game to start the season Sunday when the Miami Dolphins visit the Bills, who will have a five-week period to allow the eight-time Pro Bowler to resume practicing starting Monday. Once a player who starts the season on the PUP list returns to practice, a team has three weeks to decide whether to activate him to the 53-man roster.

Trotter: I Was Told Not To Report NFL Wanted Bills-Bengals To Resume

Sep 14, 2023 7:54 AM

In his new lawsuit against the NFL, former NFL Network reporter Jim Trotter alleges that the league exercises control of NFL Media.

Trotter makes specific allegations regarding his efforts to report information learned regarding the cancellation of the Buffalo Bills-Cincinnati Bengals game on January 2, 2023, after Damar Hamlin suffered cardiac arrest on the field.

While trying to report on the league's desire for the game to resume in the days following, Trotter was told by one league official to "stand down" in his reporting on the story.

Josh Allen: Turnovers Product Of 'Trying To Force The Ball'

Sep 12, 2023 8:40 AM

Josh Allen had four turnovers in the Buffalo Bills' 22-16 overtime loss to the New York Jets on Monday Night Football.

"Trying to force the ball," Allen said of his turnovers, pausing with a deep sigh. "Same s---, same place, different day."

The quarterback had three turnovers in the second half, which played a significant role in the Jets mounting a comeback from a 13-3 deficit. Allen led the NFL in turnovers (19) last season.

"I hurt our team tonight. I cost our team tonight," Allen said. "It feels eerily similar to last year, and I hate that it's something I do."

Damar Hamlin Not Expected To Play In Bills' Opener

Sep 11, 2023 9:20 AM

Damar Hamlin is not expected to be active for the Buffalo Bills' first game against the New York Jets on "Monday Night Football," according to sources.

Hamlin, 25, is healthy after suffering cardiac arrest on Jan. 2 during a regular season game against the Cincinnati Bengals that was ultimately called off.

The decision is not a surprise as Hamlin made the team's roster as a backup safety and special teams contributor, making the decision based on the number of players the team can have active for the game.

Former NFL WR Mike Williams On Life Support After Accident

Sep 7, 2023 9:02 AM

Former NFL wide receiver Mike Williams, who had 65 catches for 964 yards and 11 touchdowns as a rookie with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2010, is on life support after suffering serious injuries while working at a construction site.

Williams, 36, had been working in Hillsborough County (Florida) when he was injured last week.

He was mostly non-responsive when visited Wednesday afternoon, and while the plan is reportedly for Williams to be removed from life support in the ICU, that has yet to occur.

Buffalo's Spectrum News 1 erroneously reported Tuesday night that Williams had already died as a result of the injuries.
