Patriots' Bill Belichick Gets 300th Regular-Season Win

Oct 22, 2023 4:48 PM

New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick recorded his 300th career regular-season win in dramatic fashion Sunday, as quarterback Mac Jones led a touchdown drive in the final minute of a 29-25 triumph over the Buffalo Bills at Gillette Stadium.

The Patriots (2-6) were on the cusp of letting a game they led for large stretches slip away from them before Jones engineered an eight-play, 75-yard scoring drive after taking over with 1:58 left on the clock.

Jones hit tight end Mike Gesicki on a 1-yard pass with 12 seconds remaining.

Giants' Daniel Jones Won't Play Against Bills Due To Neck Injury

Oct 14, 2023 1:04 AM

New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones will not play against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday night because of a neck injury, coach Brian Daboll said Friday.

Jones was injured Sunday in a 31-16 loss to the Miami Dolphins when his neck snapped back violently as he was hit from behind on his sixth sack of the game. He has not practiced this week.

"I think he's getting better, but not good enough to play in this game," Daboll said.

Stefon Diggs 'Thankful' Josh Allen 'Has My Back'

Oct 13, 2023 8:57 AM

Stefon Diggs is thankful to have a quarterback in Josh Allen that supports him and emphasized that he does everything he can to be successful and be a good teammate.

"Obviously, I'm thankful to have a quarterback who has my back and someone who understands, somebody who is out there, somebody who plays the game of football," the Buffalo Bills wide receiver said when asked about recent comments by Allen.

"For other people, it's hard for me to put it in words how much time and effort goes into football and how serious it is out there. When things aren't going right and you put a lot on yourself and you want more for yourself, you want more for your team.

"... I don't like bringing other people in it, but you see the same things maybe from other players at one point, and it draws different conclusions. It's easy to piggyback or kind of say X, Y, Z about me, but up to this point, I've been nothing but a leader. I've been consistent. I love ball. I do everything I can to have success on the football field and be a good teammate. So, whenever that's drawn into question, I feel like it's all right ... let it go. I've been the same guy. I'm not going to change up who I am, how I am. I approach this game with love and respect and I'm going to continue to do so."

Diggs' comments came in his typical weekly news conference a day after Allen said that he is tired of "hearing all this nonsense from people" about the wide receiver's actions on the sideline.

Cornerback Tre'Davious White, who suffered a season-ending torn right Achilles in last week's win vs. the Dolphins, was placed on injured reserve in a corresponding move.

Bills Fearing Torn Achilles For Tre'Davious White

Oct 2, 2023 12:29 AM

Just over 10 months ago, Buffalo Bills cornerback Tre'Davious White made his return to football a year after tearing his left ACL. On Sunday, just four games into the 2023 season, White suffered yet another noncontact injury.

White suffered what is believed to be a torn right Achilles in the third quarter of the Bills' commanding 48-20 win over the Miami Dolphins, sources told ESPN's Jeff Darlington.

Bills coach Sean McDermott said after the game that White is still being evaluated. An MRI is set for Monday.
