Redskins Give Bowen To Five-Year Deal
The Redskins have taken Stephen Bowen from the Cowboys, agreeing to a five-year deal with the defensive end.
ESPN Insider Adam Schefter is reporting that the deal is worth $27.5 million.
Bowen was projected to be the starting defensive end for the Cowboys this season, but decided to test the open market after becoming an unrestricted free agent.
Redskins Deal Haynesworth To Patriots
The Redskins have traded defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth to the Patriots in exchange for a fifth-round draft pick in 2013, according to league sources.
Haynesworth must still pass his physical in order to make the trade official.
He clashed repeatedly with Redskins coach Mike Shanahan and frequently skipped workouts. Shanahan suspended him for the final four games of last season for conduct detrimental to the team.
McNabb Deal Down To 'Final Issues'
Donovan McNabb is expected to be a member of the Vikings soon.
It was reported early Wednesday that the Redskins had agreed to deal McNabb to the Vikings in exchange for a pair of sixth-round draft picks.
McNabb's former teammate Brian Mitchell posted on his Twitter account that final issues are being worked out in the trade.
Broncos Trade Gaffney To Redskins
The Broncos have traded wide receiver Jabar Gaffney to the Redskins for defensive end Jaremy Jarmon.
Gaffney, 30, has enjoyed the best statistical seasons of his career in his last two years.
In 2010, Gaffney set career highs by registering 65 catches and 875 yards for Denver.
