Titans rookie running back LeGarrette Blount capped a feisty Wednesday night practice with a short punch to the helmet of defensive end Eric Bakhtiari.
Blount had his own helmet ripped off for the second time in as many plays right before throwing the punch.
"He apologized, and I said he didn't have to apologize," coach Jeff Fisher said. "It's football. It's training camp."
Blount was suspended by the University of Oregon for eight games of last season for punching Boise State defensive end Byron Hout after a game on Sept. 3.

Titans Waive Stafon Johnson

Johnson's college career at USC was ended by a weightlifting accident that crushed his neck.
He dislocated his right ankle and broke his fibula Saturday night in Tennessee's 20-18 loss at Seattle.

Stafon Johnson dislocated his right ankle during the Tennessee Titans? 20-18 loss to the Seattle Seahawks in their preseason opener Saturday night.
Johnson was hit high and spun around by Seattle?s Kam Chancellor following a short reception on the final play of the third quarter. He then landed hard on his right leg.

Titans Sign Raheem Brock
The Titans have signed Raheem Brock to bolster their defensive line.
"I think I'm in a good situation where I just have to take advantage of it plain and simple," Brock said Thursday. "They play a great defensive scheme that fits what I do. Right now I just have to take advantage of it."
The defensive end had played his entire career with the Colts.
Titans, Johnson Discussing Long-Term Deal Again
The Titans are once again discussing a long-term contract with running back Chris Johnson.
"I couldn't be in here mad. If I was going to come in here mad, I shouldn't have taken the little [money] they gave me," Johnson said Friday. "Basically I have to come in here and have a great year and get my history deal next year.
"I felt like I deserved it this year, but ... I can say it won't happen again. This is the last time without me having a long-term deal. It's a must."
Johnson, who in 2009 rushed for an NFL-leading 2,006 yards, will be vying to become the first player to twice rush for 2,000 yards in a season.
He said the Titans have assured him and his agent, Joel Segal, that talks on a new long-term deal could recommence in September.
Chris Johnson Wants MVP, Dickerson's Rushing Mark
Titans running back Chris Johnson rushed for 2,000 yards last season, but he has his sights set on two more feats in 2010.
Johnson wants to be the NFL's MVP and break Eric Dickerson's single-season rushing record of 2,105 yards.
If he does so, he'll also become the first player to rush for 2,000 yards more than once.
"I'm shooting for 2,500, but I'll be happy with anything over the record," Johnson said.
Titans, Morgan Agree To Five-Year Deal
The Titans have confirmed that first-round draft pick Derrick Morgan has agreed to terms on what is believed to be a five-year contract.
The deal is probably worth a bit less than the one given to rookie defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul.
Pierre-Paul agreed to a deal with the Giants worth $20.05 million over five years, with $11.629 million guaranteed, according to ESPN.
