NFL commissioner Roger Goodell is expected to meet with Titans quarterback Vince Young "sometime in the new few weeks" to discuss his recent misdemeanor assault citation at a Dallas strip club.
Goodell acknowledged that a first-time legal offender like Young is unlikely to face an NFL suspension.

Titans Concerned About Kenny Britt
There is some concern in Tennessee about the passes that wide receiver Kenny Britt has been known to drop.
Every time he drops a pass in camp, a teammate with raze Britt and call him "Question Mark."
He led the team in receiving last season in 2009, but he has yet to entrench him as Tennessee's No. 1 receiver.
"It has been horrible," Britt said. "I am disappointed in myself. I know I have to get better. They expect me to get better. And that's what I plan on doing."
Fisher On Johnson: He's Under Contract
Titans coach Jeff Fisher isn't sympathetic towards running back Chris Johnson and his contract demands.
Johnson, who led the NFL is rushing last season, would like a contract worth $30-$40 million guaranteed.
"So would I," Fisher said. "You know he's under contract right now."
Beyond that, Fisher wouldn't discuss Johnson's dispute.
"I'm not going into my relationship with him, whether I've talked with him or not" Fisher said. "This is something I feel will eventually get worked out."
Goodell Hasn't Decided On Young
NFL commissioner Roger Goodell says he still doesn't have enough information to make a decision on Titans quarterback Vince Young.
Young received a misdemeanor assault citation after a fight early Sunday at a Dallas strip club. Goodell said that "right now we're gathering facts."
Surveillance video footage released by Dallas police showed the quarterback and several people talking in a small room before Young attacked someone in the room.
Titans' Top Pick Charged In Traffic Stop
Titans top draft pick Derrick Morgan faces charges of driving with a suspended license and speeding after an interstate traffic stop in northwest Georgia.
Gordon County, Ga., Sheriff Mitch Ralston said in a statement Friday that Morgan was traveling 91 mph in a 70-mph zone when stopped Wednesday in Resaca.
Morgan, a defensive end, is from Atlanta and played for Georgia Tech. He has a July 26 court date.
Johnson Wants $30-40M From Titans
Chris Johnson told ESPN in an E:60 piece that will air next month that he is hoping to get a $30-40 million contract from the Titans.
On Friday night, the network ran a brief clip of a recent interview with Johnson.
Earlier this week, Johnson told the Tennessean, "I can't play for $550,000," his scheduled base salary for 2010.
McNair Case Won't Be Re-Opened
A former Nashville police officer's request to have the Steve McNair case reopened has been denied.
Vincent Hill told ESPN.com on Thursday night that he received word from a three-member Davidson County grand jury panel that there was insufficient proof to move forward on re-opening the murder case.
Hill, who spent 4? years on the Nashville force and resigned in 2006, has disputed the police's ruling that McNair, the former Titans quarterback was murdered by Sahel Kazemi, who then turned the gun on herself.
Bynuer Still Wondering Why He Was Fired By Titans
Ernest Byner was fired as backfield coach of the Tennessee Titans after a season where Chris Johnson ran for an NFL-best 2,059 yards.
Byner was fired after two years of helping Johnson become an elite back.
Byner has twice asked Jeff Fisher for an explanation.
"I do know that Jeff has great respect for Kennedy," Byner said. "But it's still baffling to me."
Titans' Johnson Willing To Hold Out
Titans running back Chris Johnson insists that he won't play for $550,000 this season.
"I can't play for $550,000," Johnson told the Tennessean. "The money that I am playing for, I am getting paid less than the starting 11 [on offense] and I'm one of the lowest paid starting running backs in the league."
Johnson told the Tennessean he will hold out of training camp, which begins July 31.
Titans general manager Mike Reinfeldt was out of town Wednesday and not immediately available for comment. Coach Jeff Fisher had been invited by Johnson to make an appearance at his camp.
"And my invitation is still open to him for our camp," Fisher said Tuesday.
Johnson Rips Titans On Twitter
Titans running back Chris Johnson criticized the team on his Twitter page Tuesday night over his lack of a new contract.
Johnson apparently got a call from agent Joel Segal that provided bad news.
"Just got off the phn w/ my agent & its not good news I'm feeling lk @Revis24 rt now at least dey offering him," Johnson wrote, referring to Jets corner Darrelle Revis, who is also seeking a new contract.
Johnson went on: "Its like how do u expect ur players to give they all and not put their bodies on the line when you not willing to give them what they deserve. How do u want player 2 honor their contract but the team dot have to honor it. If u dont wnt 2 pay a player early dont cut a player early."
