Alec Ogletree Expected To Excel In Rams' Attacking Defense

Sep 12, 2014 11:09 AM

Alec Ogletree cannot help being excited about the offseason addition of defensive coordinator Gregg Williams and his style for the St. Louis Rams.

Ogletree was the 30th overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft and seems to be an ideal fit for Williams' attack-style defense.

“It’s a lot of the same stuff we did last year, but it’s just a lot more aggressive,’’ the second-year outside linebacker said earlier this week at Rams Park in Earth City. “You can already see the difference, even though it’s only OTAs. Guys are flying around and having fun. We just seem to be a lot more comfortable with each other and I definitely think coach Williams is going to make a big difference.

“A lot of guys respect him and want to play for a guy like that. He’s going to shoot you straight. You want to go out and give it your all for him because you know he’s giving his all, too.’’

Kenny Britt Excited To Be 'Starting From Scratch'

Sep 5, 2014 10:08 PM

Kenny Britt has had moments of budding stardom in the NFL mixed with off-field issues and injuries.

Britt is receiving his second chance with the St. Louis Rams this season.

“My mind’s free,” Britt said. “I’m relaxed right now. I’m taking this year as a rookie year — just like I’m coming into the league. That’s my mindset right now. Starting from scratch.”

“He’s a very emotional kid,” coach Jeff Fisher said. “He’s an emotional receiver. He looks the part, and he can make the plays. I was really happy to see him come on (board).

“Kept himself in really good shape during the free agency period. Came in and has done a great job. He’s had no setbacks, he feels great physically. So he can potentially return to where he was a very productive receiver.”
