Rams' Fans In Los Angeles Show Support By Attending Game At San Diego

Dec 17, 2014 9:55 PM

The St. Louis Rams could relocate back to Los Angeles this offseason and fans of that possibility drove down to San Diego for Sunday's game against the Chargers.

“If anyone understands what St. Louis fans are going through, it’s Los Angeles fans,” said Tom Bateman, director of the Bring Back the Los Angeles Rams booster club. “We loved our team and it broke our hearts when they moved. We want our team back. This is our father’s team and our grandfather’s team.”

Bateman’s club was among about a half dozen or so Rams booster clubs from Southern California that gathered in one section of the massive parking lot/tailgate area surrounding Qualcomm Stadium to root for their favorite NFL club.

Rose Bowl Can Support Just One Team On Interim Basis

Dec 9, 2014 9:06 PM

The Oakland Raiders and St. Louis Rams are seriously exploring a move to Los Angeles for the 2015 season, but only one of them could play in the preferred location of the Rose Bowl.

While the Pasadena government has enacted changes in recent years that would allow the number of games played at the Rose Bowl to increase as well as secure the necessary infrastructure to house an NFL team on an interim basis, it could not do so for two teams seeking to play there for a few years under such circumstances.

The NFL prefers to have two teams move to Los Angeles at the same time to share the risk and rewards associated with stadium development.

Rams Change Mind, Bench Austin Davis For Shaun Hill

Nov 17, 2014 2:33 PM

The St. Louis Rams have changed their mind and replaced Austin Davis at quarterback with Shaun Hill.

Just Monday, Fisher had said Davis would continue to be the starter but finished that confirmation with "so we'll see where it goes."

Davis' status became tenuous after he threw two fourth-quarter interceptions and fumbled during this past weekend's 31-14 loss to the Arizona Cardinals.

Rams Won't Replace Austin Davis As Starting Quarterback

Dec 1, 2014 6:33 AM

The St. Louis Rams will continue to start Austin Davis despite his recent struggles.

Shaun Hill began the season as the Rams' starting quaterback, replacing Sam Bradford.

"He didn't have his best half," Jeff Fisher said. "He missed some opportunities, he made some bad decisions, had difficulty seeing at times. And over the last couple of weeks he's thrown four interceptions but we're going to hang in there. He's working real hard. So we'll see where it goes."
