Jonathan Taylor may miss some time with a thumb injury.

Taylor rushed for 91 yards and two touchdowns Sunday in the Indianapolis Colts' victory over the Buccaneers and played the entire game.

Taylor's workload had consistently increased in recent weeks, with the share of carries between him and backup Zack Moss tilted more toward Taylor lately.

C.J. Stroud On Pace To Break Rookie Passing Yards Mark

Nov 13, 2023 10:38 AM

C.J. Stroud is enjoying one of the best seasons ever for the rookie quarterback in the NFL.

Through nine games, Stroud has 2,625 passing yards, which puts him on pace for 4,958 yards in a 17-game season.

That would allow him to easily surpass the current rookie record of 4,374 yards, set by Andrew Luck in 2012.

Stroud has also thrown just two interceptions in 318 passes, an interception on just 0.63 percent of his attempts, which would also be a rookie record.

Shaquille Leonard Frustrated Over Diminished Role With Colts

Nov 10, 2023 8:33 AM

Shaquille Leonard is upset over his diminished role with the Indianapolis Colts.

The linebacker was informed his role would not be expanded even in the absence of injured starting middle linebacker Zaire Franklin last week.

Leonard was told by linebackers coach Richard Smith that he would split reps on early downs and continue to leave the field on third down while backup Segun Olubi manned the middle the entire game.

"So that's when I kind of knew, and it sucked hearing that," Leonard said. "You're already not playing on third [down]; you're taking the reps on second down too? So it's very heartbreaking to get that, but it is what it is."

Leonard, the 2018 NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year, believes he is close to returning to his old form after his injuries, even if defensive coordinator Gus Bradley and his staff appear to disagree.
