New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers has a clear path to play a game in Green Bay next season, regardless of whether he returns in 2023.

In a scheduling happenstance the TV networks and fans will love, the Jets' 2024 schedule includes a road game at the NFC North team that finishes in the same place in its division, putting them on a potential collision course to play the Packers at Lambeau Field.

The Jets (4-7) are third in the AFC East, two wins behind the second-place Bills (6-5) and two wins ahead of the last-place Patriots (2-8).

The injury Aaron Jones suffered on Sunday against the Los Angeles Chargers doesn't seem to be as bad as the Green Bay Packers initially feared.

Jones suffered a knee injury on a two-yard run shortly before halftime.

The running back has an MCL sprain and is considered week-to-week, according to a report. Jones is unlikely to play against the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving.

The Los Angeles Rams will start Brett Rypien at quarterback Sunday against the Green Bay Packers.

Rypien will start in place of Matthew Stafford, who is inactive.

Stafford had been considered unlikely to play as he deals with a thumb injury.

Stafford suffered a ulnar collateral ligament sprain in his right thumb in last week's loss to the Dallas Cowboys. He's officially listed as questionable.

The Green Bay Packers need some more time to evaluate whether or not Jordan Love is their quarterback of the future.

Love is signed through the 2024 season, which gives the Packers more time to make a decision, but Brian Gutekunst doesn't want to take too long.

"I hope not," Gutekunst said. "I think we've got 10 games left. These are going to be very important 10 games."

The Packers started 2-1 under Love, but they have lost four straight and Love has thrown four touchdowns and seven interceptions over that span.

"I think he's done a lot of really good things," Gutekunst said. "Really like the way he's responded to the adversity, how he's led the team. Again, we've got to be better as a unit, and I expect that to happen over the next 10 games. And I think that we're going through some things that we knew we would go through. We haven't had the results that we want, but I do like the way guys are responding to things."

The Buffalo Bills acquired cornerback Rasul Douglas from the Green Bay Packers before Tuesday's trade deadline.

The Bills sent a 2024 third-round pick to the Packers for Douglas and a 2024 fifth-round pick.

The Packers signed Douglas during the 2021 season off the Arizona Cardinals' practice squad and he led the team with five interceptions in a little more than half a season.

That offseason, they signed him to a three-year, $21 million deal.
