David Bakhtiari Out For Season With Torn ACL

Dec 31, 2020 8:33 PM

The Green Bay Packers fear David Bakhtiari suffered a season-ending torn ACL during practice on Thursday.

The injury comes just six weeks after they signed Bakhtiari to a record-setting four-year, $103.5 million contract extension, making him the highest-paid offensive lineman in NFL history.

Bakhtiari has been either first- or second-team All-Pro each of the past four years. He was named a Pro Bowl starter when the selections were announced last week.

Packers Clinch NFC North; No. 1 Seed Remains In Play

Dec 14, 2020 8:35 AM

The Green Bay Packers clinched the NFC North division title with Sunday's win over the Detroit Lions.

Green Bay is also in position to earn the NFC's No. 1 overall seed after the New Orleans Saints lost. Both the Packers and Saints are 10-3, but Green Bay owns the head-to-head tiebreaker.

"We're definitely not done," Davante Adams said. "We've got a lot more work to be put in to get to where we ultimately want to be, but we're putting ourselves in a pretty good position right now."

Aaron Rodgers Fastest To 400 Career Touchdown Passes

Dec 7, 2020 8:52 AM

Aaron Rodgers made NFL history on Sunday, becoming the fastest ever to reach 400 career touchdown passes.

Rodgers reached the milestone in 193 regular season games. That's 12 fewer games than Drew Brees, who was previously the fastest to 400.

The Green Bay Packers quarterback, who turned 37 last week, began the day needing three touchdown passes to reach 400. With those three scores Sunday, he also reached 36 for the year, giving him his fifth season with at least 35 touchdowns -- the most such seasons in NFL history.

"Those are fun milestones for sure," Rodgers said. "I'm not sure how long I'll be able to hold on to the second one. There's some really good young quarterbacks I'm guessing are amassing some numbers in that vicinity. But it does speak to the consistency over a long period of time that I'm very proud of."
