Aaron Rodgers No Longer Packers' NFLPA Representative

Nov 19, 2020 9:52 AM

Aaron Rodgers is no longer the NFLPA representative for the Green Bay Packers.

The quarterback wasn't happy when the union voted this year on whether to accept the new Collective Bargaining Agreement.

"I wasn't real, real happy about the way things went down," Rodgers said, who voted no.

Rodgers felt that active players should have been more involved in negotiations.

Mason Crosby is the new Packers' representative.

Aaron Rodgers: NFL's Virus Policy Has Double Standards

Nov 12, 2020 8:57 AM

Aaron Rodgers said he sees double standards in the safety protocols the NFL has instituted as it tries to complete a season amid the coronavirus pandemic.

"You can dap up a guy after a game, but you can't eat at the same lunch table as a teammate,'' Rodgers said Tuesday on SiriusXM's "The Pat McAfee Show."

"You can go down to practice and hit each other and be in close contact, but you have to have Plexiglass between you and the guy next to you in the locker room. I just think some of those things, to me, really don't add up."

Rodgers also noted that the protocols in place might have impacted team unity because they have prevented get-togethers such as weekly dinners or Halloween parties.

"I know a lot of people don't give any credence or don't [care] about chemistry, but I think it's really important," Rodgers said.

Fox averaged 8.7 million viewers for the Green Bay Packers' win over the San Francisco 49ers on Thursday Night Football, which was considered a win due to both teams featuring injury and COVID-19 depleted rosters while also competing against ongoing election coverage.

The 49ers and Packers was expected to be a highly anticipated matchup when the schedule was announced, but San Francisco entered the game with a 4-4 record and expected to free fall with injuries to arguably their five best players in George Kittle, Nick Bosa, Jimmy Garoppolo, Deebo Samuel and Raheem Mostert.

Nov 6, 2020 8:28 AM

Davante Adams made his case once again on Thursday night to be considered the best wide receiver in the NFL.

Adams had 10 receptions for 173 yards and a touchdown in the Green Bay Packers' 34-17 win over the San Francisco 49ers.

When asked after the game if he's the best wide receiver in the league, Adams said: "I think that's fair to say. I think that's not being conceited. That's just being confident. I think, obviously, what I've done and what I'm going to continue to do is going to prove that to anybody who isn't on board with that."

Nov 5, 2020 8:59 AM

The San Francisco 49ers, already reeling from injuries, placed four players on the reserve/COVID-19 list on Wednesday night ahead of their game against the Green Bay Packers.

Kendrick Bourne tested positive on Wednesday morning, according to source.

That led to Trent Williams, Brandon Aiyuk and Deebo Samuel going on the COVID-19 list as close contacts to Bourne.

Despite all of that, Thursday's contest versus Green Bay is expected to go on as scheduled, according to sources.

Brandon Aiyuk Modeling His Game After Davante Adams

Nov 4, 2020 8:48 AM

San Francisco 49ers rookie Brandon Aiyuk said ahead of Thursday's game that he models his game after fellow receiver Davante Adams.

Aiyuk will see Adams up close when the 49ers face the Green Bay Packers on Thursday night.

"Davante Adams, when I was coming out of college, he was one of the main receivers that I watched," Aiyuk said. "All the games from last season and what he does, and what he's able to do at the line of scrimmage and with his route running.

"He's actually my pro comparison, so I love watching Davante Adams. I try to take stuff out of his bag and put it in mine."
