The Green Bay Packers will retain Mike Pettine as defensive coordinator in 2020.

Pettine's future was unclear as Matt LaFleur initially appeared to waver on his status.

Pettine was in his first year as defensive coordinator of the Packers.

At age 36, Aaron Rodgers believes the title window of the Green Bay Packers open.

"The window's open, and I think we're going to be on the right side of one of these real soon," Rodgers said after his third NFC title game loss in four attempts.

"That's the exciting thing. It doesn't make this feeling any easier, but that is very exciting moving forward."

The Packers trailed the San Francisco 49ers by a combined score of 50-0 at halftime of their two games this season.

"Well, it looks pretty big," Rodgers said of the gap. "They got us a couple times, but I don't think it's that big. I think we're really close. I think we're just a little more consistent performance away from consistently playing with these guys. But we got him at their place twice. I've said this before: We've got to get one of these at home. It's a different ballgame. It's different playing in 20-degree weather and snow. Cold and wind is a different type of game than playing here."

After two straight losing seasons and a coaching change, Rodgers called this season special for one overriding reason.

"This one will always be special because it became fun again," he said.

The Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers have each advanced out of the Conference Championship and will meet in Super Bowl LIV in Miami.

The Chiefs defeated the Titans by a final score of 35-24 with Patrick Mahomes throwing for 294 yards with three touchdowns and another 53 yards rushing and a touchdown. Mahomes' performance was highlighted by a 27-yard touchdown run to close out the second quarter and give Kansas City a 21-17 lead heading into halftime. 

After a scoreless third quarter, the Chiefs scored two unanswered touchdowns to open the fourth quarter and put the game away.

In the NFC Championship, the 49ers used a dominant running game to defeat the Green Bay Packers by a final score of 37-20. Raheem Mostert had 220 yards on 29 carries and four touchdowns. 

The 49ers had a 27-0 lead heading into halftime and it took a pair of Green Bay touchdowns in the fourth quarter to make the final score closer than the game felt.

The Chiefs are -1.5 point favorites to win the Super Bowl over San Francisco.

The San Francisco 49ers are 7.5-point favorites over the Green Bay Packers after the line opened at seven.

The 49ers are drawing twice as many tickets and five times more money as the Packers.

In the AFC Championship Game, spread bettors are leaning towards the Tennessee Titans to at least cover against the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Kansas City Chiefs will be favored against either potential NFC foe if they advance to the Super Bowl, according to the early odds from SportsBetting.ag.

The San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs are each 7.5-point favorites in their respective Conference Championship Game matchups next Sunday, according to odds from BetOnline.

The 49ers will play the Green Bay Packers in the late game, while the Chiefs will play the Tennessee Titans in the early game on Sunday.

The 49ers beat the Packers 37-8 in Week 12.

The Titans defeated the Chiefs 35-32 in Week 10.

The Green Bay area is expected to get eight to 10 inches of snow Saturday night into Sunday morning.

With a divisional playoff game scheduled against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, the Packers are requesting help to clear out Lambeau Field.

The team is asking for as many as 700 shovelers to assist with the process beginning at 6 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 12.

The Packers will pay volunteers $12 per hour.
