Aaron Rodgers: 'Absolutely Crazy' To Think Mike Zimmer Is On Hot Seat

Oct 29, 2020 8:46 AM

The Minnesota Vikings are 1-5, but one of their biggest rivals doesn't think Mike Zimmer's job should be in jeopardy.

"He's a phenomenal coach," Aaron Rodgers said of Zimmer. "I was telling a friend of mine, to see (Zimmer) mentioned to be on the hot seat, to me, is absolutely crazy. I think he's one of the best coaches in the league and has been for a long time.

"They don't all give you the trouble and the scheme that Mike does. I have a lot of respect for the way he coaches and the way he especially coaches defense."

The Green Bay Packers (5-1) will face the Vikings on Sunday.

Packers Interested In Trading For Will Fuller

Oct 28, 2020 1:34 PM

The Green Bay Packers have expressed interest in trading for Will Fuller of the Houston Texans.

No deal is imminent at this time as the Texans aren't interested in conducting a fire sale.

Fuller has impressive per game numbers at wide receiver but has struggled to stay healthy since entering the NFL in 2016.

The NFL trade deadline is on Nov. 3.

Aaron Rodgers: We Needed Wake-Up Call At Some Point

Oct 19, 2020 8:36 AM

The Green Bay Packers suffered their first loss of 2020 in Week 6, losing 38-10 at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

"You don't ever want to lose like this," Aaron Rodgers said. "I felt like we needed a little bit of a wake-up call at some point this season because things have been so good and there's been so much talk maybe outside the building about the ease with which we're moving the ball on offense and scoring. I think we needed kind of a kick in the ass a little bit.

"There's a little bit of wake-up to stop feeling ourselves so much and get back to the things that got us to this position. I think this would be, unfortunately but fortunately, something we can really grow from."

Aaron Rodgers: Down Years For Me Are Career Years For Others

Oct 7, 2020 9:30 AM

Aaron Rodgers is having one of his best statistical seasons at age 36, completing 70.5 percent of his passes for 1,214 passing yards, 13 touchdowns and no interceptions.

There were questions about the Green Bay Packers' confidence in Rodgers after they selected Jordan Love in the first round this spring.

"Every team is different. Every year is different," Rodgers. "Circumstances in any year which allow you to have more success, or make it more difficult for success, just kind of depends on the situation. It does help being the second year, for sure. I feel a lot more comfortable. But, you know, I sometimes laugh when people talk about down years for me because a lot of times down years for me are career years for most quarterbacks."
