John Fox believes that Tim Tebow can become more of a stereotypical NFL quarterback as he looks to run a more traditional offense in Denver.
"He is going to be a great quarterback in this league," Fox said on Sirius XM NFL Radio. "How long it takes (and) when? I can't tell you. But he's going to be that guy in a regular NFL offense.
"I'm not saying we're going to totally abandon some of those things that present problems for the defense. But it's going to be important (he grows as a quarterback). He's going to get the opportunity to improve and show he can make those strides."
Tebow will be entering his third NFL season later this year. He led Denver to the playoffs and a first-round upset of Pittsburgh with his scrambling style.
"Tim made great progress this year," Fox said. "It's not just playing quarterback. It's leading. Tim did an outstanding job. Like any young player, I think he has areas to improve. He knows that."

Fox: Tebow, Quinn Have Close Relationship
Broncos head coach John Fox says Brady Quinn's apology to Tim Tebow shows the two have a close relationship.
Fox's comments came Thursday at the NFL's annual scouting combine in Indianapolis, according to an ESPN.com report.
Quinn Apologizes For Tebow Comments
Brady Quinn has apologized to Tim Tebow for unflattering comments made in a GQ Magazine article.
The article was written by Michael Silver and titled "The year of Magical Stinking: An Oral History of Tebow Time."
In it, Quinn was quoted as saying, "We've had a lot of, I guess, luck, to put it simply." He also said he felt the fans were the reason Tebow leapfrogged him on the depth chart when supplanting Kyle Orton as the starter.
"I felt like the fans had a lot to do with that," Quinn said in the article. "Just 'cause they were chanting his name. There was a big calling for him. No, I don't have any billboards. That would have been nice."
Broncos To Bring In Two Quarterbacks, But Tebow Will Start
The Broncos will acquire two new quarterbacks this offseason, according to coach John Fox, but Tim Tebow will remain their starter.
"Numbers wise that's accurate," Fox said. "Who, what, where, when, what market -- it's still way too early how we get those quarterbacks."
The Broncos currently have just two quarterbacks under contract for next season, Tebow and Adam Weber, who spent last season on the practice squad.
Mora: 'Tebow-Mania' At UCLA Campus
UCLA coach Jim L. Mora has noticed something a little different around the Westwood campus this week thanks to a certain high-profile NFL QB working out at the Bruins practice facility.
"There's a little Tebow-mania going on here on the UCLA campus," Mora said. "There's a few more girls hanging around the football office and the football field that there typically are."
Tim Tebow is in town working out with UCLA offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach Noel Mazzone and Mazzone's son, Taylor.
Broncos Sign Jason Hill
The Broncos have signed free agent wide receiver Jason Hill.
The sixth-year pro has played for Jacksonville and San Francisco, which selected him in the third round of the 2007 draft out of Washington State.
Tebow Working With UCLA OC
Tim Tebow has been in Los Angeles working on his throwing mechanics with new UCLA offensive coordinator Noel Mazzone.
Mazzone and his son, Taylor, have been working out with Tebow twice a day for a couple of hours at a time since last weekend, Noel Mazzone said Wednesday, hoping to improve upon Tebow's heavily-scrutinized passing ability.
Broncos Had Eye On Robert Griffin III
The Broncos followed Baylor quarterback Robert Griffin III rather closely at one point this season.
"At a certain point this season," NFL.com's Steve Wyche said, "with conversations I had there, they were really doing their due diligence on RG3 because of some of the things he can do to the offense."
Denver's interest almost certainly came before Tim Tebow supplanted Kyle Orton as their starting quarterback.
"No shot," Wyche said. "They'd have to give up a whole lot of draft picks to get up to No. 1, and that quarterback up there is pretty popular."
Jeremy Lin Draws Inspiration From Tebow
The sudden rise of Knicks point guard Jeremy Lin has drawn inevitable comparisons to Tim Tebow.
Over the past week, Lin has led the Knicks to five straight heart-pounding victories, a streak highlighted Friday night by a 38-point outburst in New York's 92-85 win over Kobe Bryant and the Lakers.
"I've drawn a lot of inspiration," Lin, a devout Christian, told San Francisco's KGMZ-FM this week. "Just because (Tebow's) a polarizing figure and the things he says in interviews and his approach to the game is just unbelievable and I respect him so much and I actually want to be able to do some of the things he does in terms of the amount of charity work and nonprofit work and the way he impacts people off the field. That is what is most inspiring to me about him.
"... I can't sit here and say I knew this would happen. It's something that I've been working towards. To have this happen so fast has been miraculous. I'm just so thankful to God and my teammates and the organization for giving me these opportunities. It's been an unbelievable week."
Reports: Knowshon Moreno Arrested For DUI
Knowshon Moreno was arrested on drunken driving charges in Denver last week, according to multiple reports.
The Broncos running back was pulled over while driving up to 70 mph in a Bentley convertible with personalized license plates that read "SAUCED."
The area's posted speed limit is usually 65 mph, but is currently at 45 mph because of construction, according to a report.
