Dec 28, 2021 8:04 AM

Vic Fangio believes he "absolutely" deserves to remain as head coach of the Denver Broncos in 2022.

Fangio is in the third year of the four-year deal he signed when he was hired in 2019.

The Broncos were in the playoff picture at 6-5 but has lost three of their past four games.

"Absolutely," he said when asked about 2022. "Just the direct, short answer there, absolutely."

Fangio is 19-28 in three seasons with the Broncos, but this is the first season he has worked with general manager George Paton, who was hired in January.

Dec 11, 2021 3:49 PM

Former Denver Broncos wide receiver Demaryius Thomas has died at age 33, according to police.

Roswell, Georgia, police said Thursday night that Thomas was found dead in his home. Preliminary reports indicate Thomas may have died from a medical issue.

LaTonya Bonseigneur, a first cousin who grew up with Thomas, so close they considered themselves siblings, told The Associated Press that the family believes he died from a seizure.

"He had been suffering from seizures for over a year, and we believe he had a seizure when he was showering," Bonseigneur said. "We're not sure when he died. We just spoke with him yesterday."

Thomas had 724 catches, 9,763 yards and 63 touchdowns in his career.
