Vick Doesn't Care If Eagles Pursued Peyton
Michael Vick doesn't care if the Eagles had real interest in Peyton Manning before the quarterback signed with the Broncos.
"I don't know how true it is and I really don't care. ... I'm one of the best," Vick said.
Manning Didn't Have Issue Playing In NFC
During a radio appearance on Thursday, Peyton Manning denied the belief that he didn't want to sign with an NFC team because it would mean playing in the same conference as his brother, Eli.
"Well, that's not true, because obviously when I was talking to San Francisco, they asked me that," Manning said.
"And I wouldn't have told them that I could possibly be interested if that were the case. Obviously I know that San Francisco is in the NFC."
While Manning values loyalty, he made it clear it wasn't going to stop him from landing at the destination that benefited him most.
"Just like everybody thinks that the Titans (didn't get chosen) because they were in the Colts' division," he said.
"Once again, I knew that the Titans were in the AFC South. And so when coach (Mike) Munchak called and I said, 'Sure, I absolutely would have an interest. and I'd love to get to know everybody better.' So the psychoanalyzing -- I guess that's the word, I'm not sure I know what that means -- but there's a lot of teams that I liked. And believe me, part of me wanted to be able to go to all of them for a short period of time."

Peyton Works Out With Broncos, Looks 'Real Good'
Peyton Manning took part in an informal workout with some of his new Denver teammates on Monday.
Manning took snaps from center J.D. Walton and threw passes to wide receiver Eric Decker and tight end Julius Thomas.
"Just some drill work, talking through stuff, so he gets familiar with the verbage and the calls," Decker said. "The biggest thing is he wanted to get a feel for us, and a feel for being under center."
Manning is allowed to continue rehabilitating from neck surgery at Dove Valley with Broncos doctors and trainers, but because of NFL rules he can only work out with teammates away from Denver's facility.
"He looked real good, though he probably won't admit that he's feeling good or feeling back to the way he wants to be," Decker said.
Peyton Admits He Needs To Study Workout Rules
Now that he has landed in Denver, Peyton Manning is ready to begin preparing for the 2012 season.
"I'm going to have to get up to speed on the rules," Manning told The Denver Post.
"I know we don't have nearly as much time as we used to. It's like free agency. It was never an issue for me before. I didn't know the rules there either. ... I've got a lot to study."
Manning missed the entire 2011 season, the first following the new collective bargaining agreement, which brought with it a whole new set of rules.
