Lamar Jackson On New WRs: I Want To Throw For 6,000 Yards

May 5, 2023 9:08 AM

Lamar Jackson officially signed his five-year, $260 million contract with the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday.

The deal set records for signing bonus, three-year cash flow and average per season and comes during an offseason in which the Ravens have added a number of offensive weapons.

"I want to throw for like 6,000 yards with the weapons we have," Jackson said with a laugh. "I'm not an individual award-type guy or a stat watcher. I just want to do that because no one has ever done it and I feel like we have the weapons to do it."

Jackson has never surpassed 3,200 yards passing in a season. Baltimore has added Odell Beckham, Jr., Nelson Agholor and No. 22 pick Zay Flowers.

Report: Giants Tried Trading Up For Zay Flowers

May 2, 2023 8:28 AM

The New York Giants tried to trade up to draft a wide receiver in last weekend's NFL Draft, according to a report.

The Giants were actively trying to acquire a pick that would net them Boston College star Zay Flowers, the report states.

New York held the No. 24 pick and was ultimately unable to find a deal for them to move up and take Flowers, who went No. 22 to the Baltimore Ravens.

The Giants ended up taking Maryland cornerback Deonte Banks with the 24th pick after a run on receivers from picks 20-23.
