Steve Smith has announced he will return for the 2016 NFL season.

Smith tore his Achilles on Nov. 1st, which is a difficult injury to come back from at any age.

Smith is 15th on the all-time receptions list (961) and 11th on the receiving yardage list (13,932).

Before his injury, Smith had announced he would retire at the end of the 2015 season with the Baltimore Ravens.

The Baltimore Ravens wore mustard colored pants in Week 15.

"That was in the works for all the way back to last season," John Harbaugh said Monday. "It was our 20th anniversary season. If we'd been doing a little bit better, you might have seen them a little bit sooner. That was a nod to the tradition."

The Ravens typically wear purple, white and black.

"The players like it. They like something different," Harbaugh said. "I didn't take a vote to see who liked them and who didn't like them. They were excited to be out there with a little different look."

Ryan Mallett has agreed to sign with the Baltimore Ravens.

Mallett was released earlier this season by the Houston Texans after he missed the team's flight for a road game.

Joe Flacco is out for the season.

The Baltimore Ravens will install natural grass at M&T Bank Stadium for the 2016 season.

The Ravens will join 17 other NFL teams that play on natural grass, according to the 2015 Official NFL Record and Fact Book. 

John Harbaugh says the natural grass reflects the city of Baltimore.

"It kind of epitomizes what Baltimore is all about, the history of football in Baltimore. And I know our players are excited about it. Our players want to play on grass."
