Lamar Jackson Misses Practice With Illness, OK For Week 3

Sep 24, 2021 9:00 AM

Lamar Jackson didn't practice on Thursday because of an illness, but he should be good to go this weekend against the Detroit Lions.

This marks the fourth straight year in which Jackson has missed one practice because of an illness in his four-year NFL career. Jackson has never been sidelined for a game because of injury.

Jackson is 30-8 since taking over as the Baltimore Ravens' starting quarterback midway through the 2018 season.

Lamar Jackson Happy To Get 'Monkey Off Our Back' Against Chiefs

Sep 21, 2021 9:50 AM

Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens topped the Kansas City Chiefs 36-35 in a thrilling finish on Sunday night.

Jackson had self-described the Chiefs as his "kryptonite."

The Ravens entered the fourth quarter down 35-24. Jackson then delivered the biggest comeback of his career, running for two touchdowns, including a flip into the end zone for the winning, 1-yard score.

"It feels good to get that monkey off of our back," said Jackson, whose three of eight regular-season losses have come against Kansas City. "We've got to move on to Detroit now. We didn't win the Super Bowl yet; it's just one game. We've got to just keep staying focused."

Lamar Jackson Focused On Football Over New Contract

Sep 13, 2021 9:13 AM

The Baltimore Ravens and Lamar Jackson have had positive and ongoing dialogue about a lucrative contract extension, according to sources.

The quarterback isn't using an agent to negotiate the deal and he is immersed in his quarterbacking job, a primary reason that he and the Ravens haven't yet agreed to an extension.

Negotiations have taken a back seat throughout training camp and into the season, according to sources, but both sides expect a deal to get done.
