Lamar Jackson doesn't know when he'll sign a contract extension with the Baltimore Ravens, but the quarterback wants to remain with the franchise over the long term.

"I would love to be here forever," Jackson said. "I love Baltimore. I love the whole organization. I love everybody in the building. Hopefully, we'll be making something happen pretty soon whenever."

Jackson said he spoke with Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta a month or two ago about an extension.

The 24-year-old is scheduled to earn $1.77 million in base salary this season, which ranks 23rd among all quarterbacks. His salary spikes to $23.1 million in 2022, when he enters his fifth-year option and final year under contract.

The Baltimore Ravens drafted Rashod Bateman with the 27th pick this spring.

Baltimore also had the 31st pick, but they feared the Green Bay Packers would select the wide receiver at 29th.

"Certainly, we knew [the Packers] liked him and a lot of teams like Rashod," Ravens director of player personnel Joe Hortiz said. "We don’t know for certain, but you do try to pay attention to, 'OK, the GMs were at this pro day' — especially this year because the GMs weren't able to get out and see players. Brian [Gutekunst] is going to look at players that he was interested in."

The Baltimore Ravens have announced that Marquise Brown is switching from No. 15 to No. 5 this season.

Brown wearing No. 5 is interesting because the last Ravens player to wear it was Joe Flacco.

The Las Vegas Raiders will host the Baltimore Ravens on Monday Night Football in Week 1. The NFL will not have a doubleheader on Monday for Week 1 for the first time in several years.

The Los Angeles Rams will host the Chicago Bears on NBC's Sunday Night Football for Week 1. The Rams also opened the Sunday Night Football schedule last season, hosting the Dallas Cowboys. 

Alejandro Villanueva has agreed to a two-year, $14 million deal with the Baltimore Ravens. The deal includes $8 million in fully guaranteed money. 

Villanueva, 32, started at left tackle for the Pittsburgh Steelers for the past six seasons but would fit in with the Ravens' supersized offensive line on the right side. 

The Ravens have Ronnie Stanley at left tackle.

The Indianapolis Colts and Miami Dolphins also had interest in signing Villanueva.
