Lamar Jackson Doubts Defenses Have Figured Him Out

Aug 25, 2021 9:46 AM

Lamar Jackson is confident entering his fourth professional season.

The Baltimore Ravens quarterback was asked about media comments suggesting that this is the year NFL defenses will figure him out on offense.

"I'm gonna keep playing football and we're gonna see. But I doubt it, dude. I doubt it. I strongly doubt it. I'm gonna play ball," Jackson said.

He was the NFL MVP in 2019, but wasn't quite as good in 2020.

Lamar Jackson On Getting Vaccine After 2nd COVID-19 Illness: We'll See

Aug 9, 2021 12:57 PM

Lamar Jackson has contracted COVID-19 twice and might change his mind about getting vaccinated, which could prevent further absences.

“I just got off the COVID list,” Jackson told reporters on Monday when asked whether he’ll get the vaccine, via Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com. “I got to talk to my team about this and see how they feel about it. Keep learning as much as I can about it. We’ll go from there.”

Asked whether this means he’ll get vaccinated, Jackson said, “We’ll see. Talking to the doctors. We’ll see. . . . I feel it’s a personal decision. I’m just going to keep my feelings to my family and myself. I’m focused on getting better right now. I can’t dwell on that right now . . . how everybody else feels. Just trying to get back to the right routine.”
