The Seahawks aren't going to pursue free-agent wide receiver Terrell Owens unless "something drastic happens." That's what Seattle general manager John Schneider said in a radio interview earlier this week. It is believed that the Seahawks have more interest in Owens prior to drafting Golden Tate in April.

The Seahawks have a number of options if they opt to add another running back in the wake of LenDale White's release. In addition to Marshawn Lynch, who they might be able to pry from the Bills, 12th Man Rising lists Brian Westbrook, Tatum Bell, Justin Fargas and Jamal Lewis as free-agent options.

The Seahawks cut ties with LenDale White on Friday and sources tell ESPN's Adam Schefter that the running back is facing a four-game suspension for violating the league's substance-abuse policy. "We have not announced any such suspension," league spokesman Greg Aiello told The Associated Press on Friday night. "I have no other information on it."

Seahawks running back LenDale White might actually have to gain some weight heading into the 2010 season. White is currently at 219 pounds, according to the Seattle Times. He plans to play at around 228.

The Seahawks have waived No. 3 quarterback Mike Teel. The move comes after Seattle signed J.P. Losman, who is expected to overtake Teel's spot on the depth chart. Teel was a sixth-round pick of the Seahawks in 2009.

The Seahawks are among several teams that have made exploratory phone calls about free-agent wide receiver Terrell Owens, according to NFL.com. The nature of the calls have been very preliminary. Seattle explored dealing for Brandon Marshall before Denver sent him to Miami. However, they may be out of the wide receiver market after drafting Notre Dame's Golden Tate.

The Seahawks are currently taking a wait-and-see approach with troubled linebacker Leroy Hill. However, it's possible that Seattle is also looking to avoid paying Hill his guaranteed salary. The team is waiting for word from the NFL about a possible suspension after he was arrested twice this offseason. Hill's $6 million salary is guaranteed, but a suspension would allow the Seattle to find a loophole.

Former Bills starting quarterback J.P. Losman and the Seahawks have agreed to a $630,000, one-year contract. Gary Wichard confirmed the deal in an e-mail to the AP on Tuesday night.
