Seahawks Won't Pursue Owens Unless 'Something Drastic Happens'

The Seahawks aren't going to pursue free-agent wide receiver Terrell Owens unless "something drastic happens." That's what Seattle general manager John Schneider said in a radio interview earlier this week. It is believed that the Seahawks have more interest in Owens prior to drafting Golden Tate in April.

White Facing Four-Game Suspension?

The Seahawks cut ties with LenDale White on Friday and sources tell ESPN's Adam Schefter that the running back is facing a four-game suspension for violating the league's substance-abuse policy. "We have not announced any such suspension," league spokesman Greg Aiello told The Associated Press on Friday night. "I have no other information on it."

Seahawks Cut LenDale White

The Seahawks released running back LenDale White on Friday. Seattle acquired White in a trade with Tennessee last month during the NFL Draft. He reported to the Seahawks in great shape after at times being overweight during his time with the Titans. "It became apparent at this time that LenDale was not ready to be a member of the Seattle Seahawks," Seahawks general manager John Schneider said. "It just did not appear to be the right fit at this point in our program. We wish LenDale all the best with his future."

Seahawks running back LenDale White might actually have to gain some weight heading into the 2010 season. White is currently at 219 pounds, according to the Seattle Times. He plans to play at around 228.
