Austin Ekeler Feels 'Somewhat Like A Lab Rat'

Jul 28, 2020 8:54 AM

Austin Ekeler is getting the sense that the 2020 NFL season will be one big experiment.

"I think that's what this period is right now, it's like, in my eyes, a trial period," Ekeler said. "I felt like, somewhat like a lab rat to see if this will work or not."

Questions about the NFL's plans for the season have come into question in the wake of an outbreak among Major League Baseball's Miami Marlins.

"I'm not confident in the entire system because it is so contagious," Ekeler said. "There's a reason we're going through all these shutdowns and things like that. There's not been really any progress made as far as containing this thing."
