The Pittsburgh Steelers engaged in trade talks about Fletcher Cox with the Philadelphia Eagles ahead of last week's trade deadline, according to a report.

The sides were ultimately unable to agree on value. The Steelers were looking for help at defensive tackle with Stephon Tuitt's return still unclear.

According to sources, the Eagles wanted at least a third-round pick for Cox, something the Steelers weren't willing to offer.
