The Philadelphia Eagles are targeting a "big-money contract extension" for Dallas Goedert, according to a report.
The Eagles have also informed Zach Ertz that Goedert will receive a majority of the snaps at tight end regardless of who is on the roster. Ertz has been expected to be traded or released for months.
New head coach Nick Sirianni has said he wants to move away from using two tight ends in favor of getting more speed on the field.
Goedert, 26, is set to hit free agency after this season.
