Moss Declares Media Silence

Jun 4, 2014 10:14 PM

Vikings wide receiver Randy Moss said after the team's loss to the Patriots on Sunday that he won't talk to the media for the remainder of the season. Moss had just one catch for eight yards in his return to New England, the team that traded him to Minnesota four weeks ago. Moss had not spoken to reporters since Oct. 13, taking a $25,000 fine from the NFL for failing to cooperate with the media. "I got fined $25,000 for not speaking to you all. Me, personally, I really don't care," Moss said. "But at the same time, I do answer questions throughout the week. For the league to fine me $25,000, I'm not going to answer any more questions for the rest of this year. If it's going to be an interview, I'm going to conduct [it]. ... I'll ask myself the questions, then give y'all the answers. So from here on out, I'm not answering any more questions for the rest of this season."

Aug 29, 2014 2:19 AM

Vikings quarterback Brett Favre left the team's loss to the Patriots on Sunday after a jarring hit in the fourth quarter. Favre struggled to get up and needed eight stitches to close a gash on his chin. He had to be helped off the field and was carted to the locker room soon after. He admitted to thinking "what in the world am I doing?" as he was being brought off the field. "Taking a seat at the end of the game is new for me," Favre said. "Going into the tunnel on the cart, [that's what] I thought to myself for a few brief seconds." Favre claims he didn't suffer a concussion.

Belichick Refuses To Bite On Childress Comments About Spying

Oct 8, 2014 8:19 AM

Brad Childress was surprisingly critical of the Patriots, who he accuses of stealing signals during their previous meeting in 2006. ?I?m mindful of the last time we faced them here, on ?Monday Night Football.? It was like a surgical procedure. These were some of the all-time great signal stealers. In fact, that?s what was going on. They were holding, holding, holding. We were signaling from the sideline. They were good at it. It?s like stealing signals from the catcher.?? ?I?m not really too worried about 2006,?? deadpanned Bill Belichick. ?I?m worried about this Sunday against Minnesota. I?m not worried about next Sunday, last Sunday, ?06, ?02, ?89. Really, it?s just Sunday.??

Warner Could See Favre Losing Job To Jackson For Performance Issues

May 8, 2014 6:33 PM

Former quarterback Kurt Warner discussed the possibility that Brett Favre could lose his job to Tarvaris Jackson for performance issues. ?In a normal situation, I would say, ?No way,? with Favre, but I think there are a couple of factors,? Warner said. ?First you see coach (Brad) Childress and the relationship, and you start wondering if something is deteriorating there. Favre has not played that well this year. Now Jackson comes in and you win. You see the trend all around the league. Who gives us the best chance to win? ? ?If somebody is winning, you stick with that. I don?t think it?s out of the realm of possibility if this happens, and Jackson plays well, that he becomes the starting quarterback, at least for a while, if he can show that he can be successful with this football team.?
