Vikings wide receiver Percy Harvin believes that his issues with migraine headaches should be behind him. "I did a test (Friday) night," Harvin said. "They found some things that we think is the main cause of it. We're all feeling really confident. I know we said that a couple times, but I think this time we found what the main cause was. I'm not saying I won't ever get a headache again, but hopefully, we can slow it down a little bit." Harvin hadn't done much of anything on the field since his Aug. 19 collapse. He caught a pass for a 34-yard gain in Minnesota's preseason game against Seattle on Saturday night. "It was tough, but that's part of life," Harvin said. "We've got a great plan coming up here, so I think everything should be behind me."

Brett Favre struggled, but the Vikings were still able to defeat the Seahawks 24-13 on Saturday night in their third preseason game. Favre threw for 187 yards and two interceptions, one that Seattle rookie safety Earl Thomas returned 86 yards for a touchdown. He completed 16 of 26 passes and took a couple of big hits while playing two series into the third quarter. "We've got to find out in a short period of time who can make some plays in the passing game," Favre said.

With Chester Taylor in Chicago, the Vikings are looking for a new option at running back on third down. Adrian Peterson might assume some of the responsibilities, but his health might be a concern at times. Minnesota rookie Toby Gerhart could be too green for the job, so the Star Tribune writes that Albert Young might be the team's best option.

Brett Favre's new contract with the Vikings could pay him as much as $20 million. He received a signing bonus of $4.4 million, and he reduced his base salary from $13 million to $11.6 million. Favre will earn $16 million at a minimum in 2010, with up to $4 million more available.

The Vikings have acquired wide receiver Greg Camarillo in a trade with the Dolphins. Miami will receive cornerback Benny Sapp as part of the deal. Minnesota was in need of a receiver because of All-Pro Sidney Rice's recent hip surgery, which is expected to sideline him for at least eight weeks.

The Minnesota Vikings have signed veteran WR Javon Walker, it was announced today. Walker, in his 9th year in the NFL, has played in 83 career games, including 46 starts, over the last eight seasons.

The Vikings are on the verge of signing wide receiver Javon Walker, according to a source. He was a teammate of Minnesota quarterback Brett Favre's with Green Bay earlier in his career. Walker, however, clashed with Favre before he left the Packers in a trade after the 2005 season.

Vikings owner Zygi Wilf never doubted that quarterback Brett Favre would return this season. Wilf was also adamant that money had little to do with Favre's decision to return for a 20th NFL season.

Vikings quarterback Brett Favre lasted just four plays in his preseason debut against the 49ers on Sunday night. Favre completed one pass and was sacked for a 10-yard loss. "I didn't fumble a snap, completed a pass," Favre said. "That's a win for me." Minnesota lost 15-10 at Candlestick Park.
