Favre Still Hasn't Passed Concussion Test
Brett Favre still hasn't passed his concussion test and his status for Minnesota's season finale remains in doubt. Favre hasn't been able to play in two of the team's last three games. The snow-damaged roof of the Metrodome won't be fixed until sometime in March. The delay will affect hundreds of college baseball games and the annual Twins Fest. Favre Fined $50K For Not Cooperating With Investigation
Brett Favre has been fined $50,000 by the NFL for a "failure to cooperate" with the investigation into allegations he sent inappropriate messages to former Jets game-day hostess Jenn Sterger. The league said commissioner Roger Goodell "could not conclude" that Favre violated the league's personal conduct policy based on the evidence currently available to him. "The forensic analysis could not establish that Favre sent the objectionable photographs to Sterger," the statement said. "The review found no evidence to contradict the statements of both Favre and Sterger that they never met in person, nor was there anything to suggest that Sterger engaged in any inappropriate conduct." The league's investigation began in October and the fine was announced Wednesday.
If Healthy, Favre Will Start Finale
Brett Favre will start at quarterback in Minnesota's season finale on Sunday if he's healthy. The Vikings upset the Eagles 24-14 on Tuesday night thanks in large part to the play of rookie Joe Webb. "If Brett can go, Brett will be our quarterback for sure, if he were able to pass the concussion test," interim coach Leslie Frazier said. "So it wouldn't be an issue for me or our team if Brett were able to go."

The commission will deliver its findings to the Vikings in late January or early February.
