The Vikings won't place Brett Favre on the injured reserve and there is a possibility that he could start on Monday night against the Bears. Favre's streak of 297 consecutive starts ended on Monday when he was inactive in Minnesota's loss to the Giants. The Vikings have been eliminated from playoff contention, but interim coach Leslie Frazier says Favre is his choice to finish out the season as the team's quarterback. Favre is nursing a sprained throwing shoulder and a numb hand. "I don't see that as being part of the equation at this point," Frazier said of the injured reserve. "It looks like there's a chance that we're going to be able to get him back at some point. Hopefully this week."
