Lions Still Interested In 'Pacman' Jones
The Lions might still sign free-agent cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones.
Detroit general manager Martin Mayhew said that the team's decision to draft cornerback Amari Spievey in the third round doesn't have any bearing on whether or not they'll sign Jones.
"You know, we're still kind of evaluating everything now," Mayhew said on Sunday. "I wouldn't say he's in play or not. Nothing has really changed from the time we talked at the league meetings. At that time, I said the next step in the process with (Adam Jones) would be to sit down and talk with him. We don't have that scheduled; we haven't planned anything about that. Well see how it goes."
Suh Says He Won't Hold Out
Lions rookie defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh says that he won't holdout for a more lucrative deal.
Suh expects to be in training camp on time.
"One of the reasons why I chose Roosevelt (Barnes) and Eugene Parker is because they had that understanding that I want to come into camp on time," Suh said. "I'm not a guy that likes to be a part of drama. I don't even like being in the limelight. I definitely don't want to hold out. We have an understanding that we want to be on time and in camp and ready to go."
Sanders 'Hoping' Lions Sign Pacman Jones
Deion Sanders is "hoping" that the Lions will sign free-agent cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones.

He said general manager Martin Mayhew "understands what Adam can bring to the table," and coach Jim Schwartz is "one of his biggest supporters."

Concussions Force FitzSimmons To Retire
Lions tight end Casey FitzSimmons announced his retirement Wednesday from the NFL due to several concussions.
A concussion he suffered in December is still giving him problems.
"This has been a very difficult decision," FitzSimmons said in a statement released by his agent. "I feel like 2009 was one of the best seasons of my career, because I was so consistent, and was able to contribute in a variety of ways. If it wasn't for the concussions, I would not be retiring.
"It's frustrating because the rest of my body is still capable of playing at a high level in the NFL," he said.
"However, given the seriousness of the risk associated with continuing to play, I have to listen to the advice the team has given me."
Lions Bring Back Jared DeVries
