Cowboys' Stance On Zack Martin 'Not About Precedent'

Jul 29, 2023 6:47 PM

Dallas Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones does not sound as if he is ready to adjust the contract for All-Pro right guard Zack Martin, who has missed the first five days of training camp in a holdout.

Martin's absence so far has cost him $250,000 in fines that cannot be rescinded when he does report.

"It's not about precedent. It's about facts," Jones said.

Kellen Moore On Dak Prescott: 'The Best Leader I've Ever Been Around'

Jul 3, 2023 9:49 AM

Kellen Moore, who has been around Dak Prescott since 2016, had high praise for the Dallas Cowboys quarterback.

"He's the best leader I've ever been around," Moore told Peter Schrager. "Player or coach or ... anything."

Moore left the Cowboys this offseason to become the offensive coordinator of the Los Angeles Chargers.

"The best person. I think the best leader I've ever been around, easily," Moore said.

"And in all honesty, player or coach or anything. I think his ability to connect with a team in all spectrums is rare and I've never seen it in any other way. His work ethic, his command, I think he's incredible. We've all been through that Dallas journey and he has a phenomenal way of being able to deal with probably more than your average NFL starting quarterback. And he handles it beautifully. He's certainly a guy you forever root for."
