The Jacksonville Jaguars watched Allen Robinson leave in free agency to sign with the Chicago Bears earlier this week.

The Jaguars declined to place the $15.9 million franchise tag on Robinson. The wide receiver is coming off a torn ACL.

Jacksonville wasn't close to re-signing Robinson, who they drafted in 2014. Dave Caldwell called the situation "difficult."

"Obviously, we have a connection with A-Rob – we drafted him and saw him grow into the player he was," Caldwell said. "We tried to put our best foot forward and get him back here and it didn't work out. Once that happens, we go to Plan B and Plan C and Marqise [Lee] was in the plan from the beginning and it was, 'Who is going to be our other guy?' And Donte [Moncrief] was on our list.

"We set a price per player and what we feel like is acceptable and what we can handle and we'll go to that level. ... And if it's not enough for the player, we move on."

The Chicago Bears are expected to sign Taylor Gabriel to a four-year, $26 million deal, according to a source.

The wide receiver will receive $14 million in guaranteed money.

With incentives, Gabriel could earn as much as $28 million.

The Chicago Bears are expected to sign Chase Daniel.

Daniel spent this past season with the New Orleans Saints and played in just one game.

The Chicago Bears will re-sign Prince Amukamara to a three-year, $27 million deal, according to a source.

The contract includes $18 million in guarantees.

Chicago signed the defensive back to a one-year, $7 million deal prior to the 2017 season.

The Chicago Bears will sign Trey Burton to a four-year, $32 million deal when the new league year opens, according to a source.

Burton, a tight end who threw a touchdown pass to Nick Foles on a trick play with the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LII, was an undrafted free agent in 2014.

Allen Robinson plans to sign a three-year, $42 million deal with the Chicago Bears when free agency opens on Wednesday.

The receiver broke the news himself in a conversation with ESPN's Josina Anderson.

Robinson, a second round pick of the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2014, has 202 catches for 2,848 yards and 22 touchdowns in 43 games. He suffered a torn ACL in Week 1 of the 2017 season.

The Chicago Bears have used the transition tag on Kyle Fuller.

The one-year tag is worth $12.971 million, down $2 million from the $14.975 million value of the franchise tag.

Fuller has dealt with injuries in the past, but he came on strong last season, finishing as the league's 36th-ranked cornerback, per Pro Football Focus.

After announcing last week that he intends to retire, Matt Forte plans to sign a one-day contract with the Chicago Bears to retire as a member of the franchise.

Forte compiled 8,602 of his 9,796 career rushing yards as a member of the Bears. He also holds the franchise record for catches by a running back in a single season with 102.

He was twice named to the Pro Bowl while with Chicago.

The Baltimore Ravens and Chicago Bears are among at least five teams to talk with Jarvis Landry's agent about a potential trade, according to a source.

Nothing is imminent. The Miami Dolphins gave Landry permission to seek out a trade last week.

Landry has informed the Dolphins that he'll sign the non-exclusive franchise tag placed on him last month.
