John Harbaugh: Joe Flacco Is Our Quarterback

Apr 27, 2018 1:01 PM

Joe Flacco seems to have competition with the Baltimore Ravens, but John Harbaugh insists that he is still the team's starting quarterback.

The Ravens traded back into the first round on Thursday night to take Lamar Jackson with the 32nd pick.

"Joe Flacco is our quarterback," Harbaugh said. "That's the thing we have to remember. Lamar's going to have a great chance to develop."

Ozzie Newsome also threw support behind Flacco.

"We're trying to win this year. And in order for us to win this year, we need Joe Flacco," he said. "That's why we went and got the receivers, that's why we got the tight end [Hayden Hurst], to give Joe some help. We want to win this year."

Ravens Sign Willie Snead To Two-Year, $7M Deal

Apr 23, 2018 11:00 AM

The Baltimore Ravens signed Willie Snead to an offer sheet last week and it will not be matched by the New Orleans Saints.

Snead was tendered at the lowest level so Baltimore does not owe any compensation for signing the wideout.

Snead's contract will be a two-year, $7 million deal with another $3.4 million in incentives.

Snead reported to the Saints' workouts last week without signing his restricted free agent tender.

Ravens Showing Strongest Interest In Dez Bryant

Apr 16, 2018 9:22 PM

The Baltimore Ravens have expressed the strongest interest in signing Dez Bryant.

Bryant initially said he preferred to remain in the NFC East so he would have the opportunity to play the Dallas Cowboys twice per season.

"They signed Michael Crabtree earlier in the offseason," Ian Rapoport explained on Monday's edition of NFL Total Access. "They still are looking to add a receiver. There is a lot to like about the Baltimore Ravens and Dez Bryant. Keep an eye on that one."

The New Orleans Saints are also a possible destination for Bryant.

Robert Griffin III To Be 'Smarter' On Run, Protect Himself

Apr 12, 2018 8:38 AM

Robert Griffin III has learned to protect himself better and plans to slide more while running with the football.

"I've learned to protect myself better," Griffin said as he was introduced by the Baltimore Ravens. "You're going to get hit in this league -- it's just what it is; it's going to happen. The offensive line's job is to make that not happen; your job is to make that not happen by getting the ball out of your hands."

Griffin says he won't ditch his running style, but he'll be smarter about not trying to extend every play.

"It doesn't mean I'm not going to run. It just means that when I do run, I'll be smarter about it," he said. "I'll slide earlier, get out of bounds when I have to, and when it's time to run for 70 [yards], I'll run for 70. It just is what it is. That's what I more so learned by watching over the years. I'm excited about that."
