Ravens To Avoid Players With Domestic Violence Issues

Feb 24, 2015 7:40 PM

Ozzie Newsome has admitted that the Ray Rice situation from 2014 will impact which players the Baltimore Ravens acquire in the offseason.

"Someone who has domestic abuse in their background, it's going to be tough for them to be considered a Raven," Newsome said Tuesday in the annual State of the Ravens news conference.

Team officials supported Rice for months last offseason before abruptly cutting the running back in September after a video of him hitting his future wife was released publicly.

Dorial Green-Beckham, Karlos Williams and Frank Clark are three players in this year's draft who have allegations of absue against women in their past.

Falcons Interested In Justin Forsett

Feb 25, 2015 12:11 PM

The Atlanta Falcons will pursue Justin Forsett if he becomes a free agent this offseason.

Forsett, who turns 30 in November, rushed for a career-high 1,266 yards and eight touchdowns for the Baltimore Ravens this past season while replacing the suspended Ray Rice. Forsett made a modest $730,000 while playing on a one-year contract.

Forsett played four seasons with the Seattle Seahawks and overlapped with Dan Quinn, who was hired as the Falcons' new head coach.
