Darrelle Revis drew interest from the Green Bay Packers and Baltimore Ravens before ultimately signing with the New York Jets.
"(It) was the Packers, Steelers, Baltimore as well as Cleveland, the Chiefs, the Jets and also the Pats, so there was a number of teams there," he said. "I sat down and had conversations with (them) to see if we could work something out."
Revis was asked if there was anything the Patriots could have done to keep him from leaving after one season.
"You know they had the opportunity, they had a number of options to do a number of things," he said. "I had an option for $20 million they could have picked up and they didn't decide to which is fine. They tried to negotiate another deal so you know that was just something I had to go through as well."
Ray Rice remains a free agent and hasn't had any reported talks or visits with any NFL teams this offseason.
While Greg Hardy and Ray McDonald signed contracts already, Rice remains ignored following his domestic violence case.
Both John Harbaugh and Chuck Pagano hope Rice gets a second chance.
Jim Caldwell said he believes some team will give Rice a second chance.

The Ravens needed to clear Suh in order to get under the cap due to his $16 million figure.
Torrey Smith revealed he will not re-sign with the Baltimore Ravens and he is expected to sign with the San Francisco 49ers.
“I will be playing for a different organization, but I will remain committed to the City of Baltimore,” Smith wrote Sunday on his blog. “. . . I’m on to the next chapter of my life and football career, but I will see you guys later.”
The 49ers are considered the front-runner to sign Smith to a multi-year contract, according to multiple reports. One source told the Baltimore Sun that it’s a "done deal with the 49ers," barring any unforeseen snags.
Colin Kaepernick has not had a viable deep threat since becoming quarterback of the 49ers.

Ray Rice expressed hope of getting a second chance in the NFL in 2015.
Rice was suspended last season for a domestic violence incident with his wife Janay Palmer.
"I'm optimistic that I'll get a second chance," Rice said. "I don't think this boils down to whether I can play football or not. Obviously I know that. I just think there's so much more that comes with it. I know the PR side of it will be tough. I understand that. I just know that if a team that really truly genuinely looks at me and understood that this guy made a horrible mistake then they can structure a plan for me."
Said Rice: "I don't like to be singled out, I like to be part of the team, if they can understand that I'll do anything to help the situation and go out and give them the best football I got, I think I'll get a second chance."
Asked what he would tell interested teams, Rice promised to "own my mistake."
"I would let them know all the steps I've done to become a better person and not figure everything out like I was perfect," Rice said. "I would tell them about my counseling. I would tell them about my wife. I can't buy my wife, no matter what. I've known her since high school. There was no money that was going to appease her. If this was that bad of a situation, then my wife wouldn't be with me and I know that and that would have crushed me more than losing football. I would just reassure them that the person that created this, that committed that horrible act of violence that's not the person, that's not who I am."
